Affordable and people can easily adjust to the weather, less traffic compared to other metros.

Lived most of my early life in Chennai. My family traces its roots to Kerala (Kottayam). I've lived in Ahd, Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore for higher studies and work.

My view for no 1 city in india is new delhi. Every states food, clothes, language, cheap accommodation, modern facilities, cultural heritage every thing you want is there. That not available in southern cities, language is a big barrier as most of them don't use Hindi.North, East, northeastern foods are not easily available as in Delhi.Expats, workers, students all are adopted to delhi than any other city.

Nah Delhi is a very expensive over hyped city with a lot of pretentious locals.. Especially those high rollers are really snobbish.. Bombay though equally expensive tend to have a way better vibe

India phobia at it's peak :agree:

I love travelling.. So i have a more open mind about the ground situations in other countries.. I'm interested in comparing my experiences with locals.. India is a fascinating country each region vastly different to the other.. A country of extremes that i have not experienced any where else in the world.. If i do India again my targets are Ladakh and the North East

Well yeah in that aspect i guess.. Thats because it's a new city, I was going on aesthetics and livability.. If it makes you feel better Lahore over Karachi any day.. Karachi for me is Bombay and Cairo mixed togeather.. Traveled to many places.. Karachi was the only place that i felt a wee bit unsafe.. I dunno there was some kind of underlying tension everywhere

Buddy i must say Karachi is still safe yet some areas are not good for travelling there in late night but as compared to Lahore and Islamabad its not a beautiful neither a historical one but is more lively than the two :D now some posters will find this offending but life in Karachi is far more different than any other city of Pakistan the variety of food form all over the sub--continent , the late night "khappa" and lots of places for "sair sapatta".
