There is no verses in Quran said that someone leaving Islam should be killed, nothing like that as well found in Hadist. Our principle is so clear, Lakum Dinukum Waliyadin (My religion is mine, and your religion is yours), taken from Quran (surah : Al-Kafirun). So many lies happening in the west toward Islam.

This verses from Al-Baqarah : 256 (Quran) is also clarifying that religion should not be imposed to anybody:

لَا إِكْرَاهَ فِي الدِّينِ قَد تَّبَيَّنَ الرُّشْدُ مِنَ الْغَيِّ

"There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. The right course has become clear from the wrong."

Though I dont agree with Mr Bill Maher's views, I must say that he is very "liberal" in dishing out his hatred to all religions. You should watch Religulous to understand why I say that.

But most importantly, I think Mr. Michael Steele, the ex-GOP president, nailed the issue correctly. The voices of moderates is drowned in the cacophony of the fundamentalists, that it is not given the same coverage by the media as it gives to the fundamentalists. That goes for all religious fundamentalists.

i never understood what "moderate muslim" means... i am myself a extreme socialist muslim, which also makes me an islamist and feminist and humanist.

as to maher's references to those like isis and al qaeda and taliban and hamas... who brought them into publicity?? it is of course western mainstream media... when they talk about palestine, they show gaza where hamas has imposed burqa, mosque and honor killing... and who imposed hamas on gaza in 2007?? it is the western governments... but they don't say that... they wish to present the foolish among muslims and present them to represent islam... they want islam to be hated by western peoples.

which is why they never present people like nasser or gaddafi or saddam... they never show asma, the lovey wife of bashar al assad, president of syria...

the western militaries will invade socialist muslim nations where ladies look like asma... and then those militaries will install mullahs into power who will turn ladies into walking-talking tents who look like below...

and then they will say... "oh, look at muslims oppressing their women"...
