People like Gambit don't understand what the concept of society means. Society is a massive network of individuals, groups, factions, and changes in society affect everyone in the system. Aside from writing a whole essay about how dumb the comment is. A great example of this is seen in the school ciricumlum in America and Canada.

I can save my future child from gender ideology and LGBT ideology that is becoming pervasive in schools, by taking my child to private school, but regardless of my own individual child, other children in his age group will be fully indoctrinated in public schools and these are people they will have to interact with daily in life whether at work, on vacation, in public etc...

This indoctrination has lead to serious consequences. They are creating thousands of cases of children being drugged with puberty blockers, have breast removal surgery under the age of 18, and thousands of cases of regret for these decisions that were made under the influence of adults.

Thankfully their is some strong conservatism that still lives in the United States to push back on it especially in the state of Florida, but that doesn't negate the effect of other liberal states like California or NY.
