Being Black in Pakistan

. .
Not exactly, but similar

These people are assets of Pakistan and its soft image.

You have to sometime pinch yourself about Pakistani state in the hands of complete idiots who cant think out of box.

. .
I am pretty black myself and I like it

Living in England i often get confused for being African and always got wrong type of attention from women.
beta: abu larkiyan hans k dakhti hain

He is fine with being called habshi ie Cannibal ?
Guess low self esteem, not shared by the American blacks.

If he is Muslim, he is one of us. Otherwise an honorable guest. Its plain and simple.

On the other hand, African themselves can by very inward type, meaning they are much more comfortable with each other than with others.

As far as calling him Kale or black, it does not necessary means racism. I am called "keke (meaning blond)" in punjabi due to my blondish hair, or Gore (i.e. white) due to my skin color at times etc, yet Pakistanis are obviously not being racist to me (Being ethnic Pakistani means I am their race after all). That is referring sometimes to skin color is just a "bad norm" in Pakistan

Off course to some foreigners, some Pakistanis definitely can be genuinely racist in Pakistan. Still however, the point is referring to skin color does not necessary akin to being a racist. Someone should point out to him that too.

Other the other hand, despite initial love shown to Indians by some Pakistanis, most people in Pakistan sooner or later will definitely reject Indians. That is a different story altogether however.

Basically you wanted us to know that you are blond with fair skin. Congrats on your "beauty".

I am just stating facts in context. but some people with deeply rooted inferiority complex notice something totally unintended that makes them feel inferior due to their own "underlying conscious or unconscious beliefs that white is somehow better when it is not".

Hence stating I am dark is somehow "not praising oneself" while stating I am fair skin is. May because listener him or her self believes it so genuinely that they fear rejection because of it (expect it more from fair skinned than not) and become bitter about it or feel resentful about it for NO bloody " real objective" reason. Normal confident loving people are loved regardless of their skin color.

The other Pakistani above refered to himself "with darker skin". Did he wanted to us to know something else too. Any subtext on his part? Obviously not, he made a point and so did I.

That in Pakistan they refer with names "other than dark skin" too. As I said, referring to skin color just a bad norm. I am myself irritated by it specially this "keke" thing about my hair.

I don't see European looks as "superior or better". So For me its just a normal looks like others. IN reality they are normal looks if we let go our "colonial perception" of them.

For your information a lot of Pakistanis do have such looks (e.g. very fair or even white skin, colored eyes etc.) and we are much more use to it than you are. Go to some Pakistan specific facebook and starts going through people's pages to see for yourself. So please get over it and move on.

I am what I am. Its just a reality. I don't need to impress people.

I receive enough love and attention "outside of this forum" where-ever I go and there is no need to try to add any "shallow respect" due to some skin color (that would be weird). I will continue to state facts about me whenever needed. That's what people do on PDF and its natural for me too. If they happen to be that I am this or that. So be it.

I won't answer you again. You are in my ignore list now.
