The link provided takes me to a blank page with error "The system cannot find the file specified."

I wonder to what extent people will go to malign MQM. Nonetheless, MQM is here to stay.

@pak-marine no its not.
p.s.
MQM believes in violence, they are known for it. apparently mqm is pissed off at BBC for exposing altaf hussain and his crimes...

Well the link wasnt working also remains misleading title since it says : BBC office in Karachi closed after threats
.. what you are saying could be wrong or right however until investigated and confirmed you cant just accuse some body.

read details, apparently its out of general fear that name of a certain MQM was not taken, despite finger was being pointed at MQM obviously. mqm should deny or come clear.

despite i hate MQM but i have many times found this newspapirer very fishy. Any other source ?

Actually, all that BBC broadcast stream contained was clips and reports that are/were propagated against MQM over the years within Pakistan. They could not bring in anything of value or anything that could be proved. There wasn't even substantial evidence against any allegation which was ultimately the reason for them deciding not to air the second episode.

Furthermore, I searched for the news on international media and this is how it is titled on Yahoo:

BBC Karachi office closed after threats over controversial documentary

Notice the emphasis on 'Controversial Documentary'? Also, tell us what the reaction of any die hard political worker be had such biased documentary been aired on BB's alleged sign off on her brothers murder or Najeeb's murder or various such allegations against Bhutto or Nawaz or Maulana or anyone else for that matter?

But you know what the most important thing is? Documentaries or news items such as these can never deter MQM supporters. You want support for MQM to diminish in Karachi? Bring some one who owns Karachi more then MQM and who is willing to do for Karachi more then MQM!

BBC says Karachi office open

KARACHI: BBC has denied reports that its office in Karachi has been closed due to threats. In a statement issued on Tuesday, BBC spokesman said that the corporation’s Karachi bureau office is not closed and is functioning normally. “Whilst we do not routinely comment on our security procedures, we do, of course, monitor the security conditions wherever we have bureaux, and we take practical measures in response to any potential threats,” the spokesman said, adding, “We have had security concerns in Karachi from time to time but our bureau there is fully operating.” staff report
