Wow the corporate share of R&D spending in China is really pathetic at only 3.2%.

Yes, they need to increase spending. I think, with greater home market consolidation and steady flow of cash, they will be more willing to spend larger on R&D. Once the cycle is set, it will feed itself; more R&D, better quality products, higher revenue and the even bigger R&D.

Innovation in the US is driven by their corporations. When their corporations invest 39% on R&D, that shows why the US has so much innovation that is made into a good or service.

I believe this is the crucial area where China needs to catch up.
