Bangladesh will give water to India from Feni river

. .
You aware that Indian hopes of holding onto the NE rests with good relations with BD?
The whole area is pretty much BD's economic backyard.
Bangladesh's economic clout in NE is limited to the illegal miya rickshawallas, maids, construction labourers, poor vegetable vendors and murgi-koni beparis that live from hand to mouth and sustain on the benevolence of us Assamese locals. :cheesy::rofl:

One mustn't pin their high hopes on them..

BD dont realize economic freedom emanates from the barrel of a gun. If you cant defend it with force, they will kick you out easily one day.

.
About water, my personal opinion is to allow them to take because we are not inhuman animals like the Indians. People cannot be kept thirsty.
Who on earth are you to tell us how to use the waters from our own rivers flowing through our territory. You, however, reserve the right to protest(only thing you are good for) as we start construction on them for our use. NE India has you held tightly by your crown jewels.

Very true, and those who wield force and power don't go about brandishing it like these empty Bangladeshi vessels. Fact is our NE India has Bangladesh surrounded from all sides and they can ill afford to antagonize us. But we wish them well, regardless.

BD's 320 billion US dollar economy growing at more than 8% a year is the economic centre of the region.
Connectivity, markets etc for the NE is dependent on BD.
NE states are small pinprick to the BD giant.

BD has coastline. NE does not.
It is BD that surrounds NE. You will always be dependent on us.

Lol, NO! Bangladesh is economically insignificant to us in the NE to the extent that our prime concern now is to stop illegal immigration and smugglers from your country. OTOH, we see all kinds of Indian goods, both legal and illegal, flooding your country.

Your art, culture and entertainment industry are all hijacked by the Indian ones. Your cultural icons are Indians.

Myanmar is far far more important to the NE than your Shonar Bangla. Don't overestimate yourselves.

Which we will gladly use to our advantage with your active cooperation, and in turn let you use our territory to help you ply your trade with Nepal and Bhutan.

Consult a map to quell your misconceptions, NE India and WB surrounds Shonar Bongal from all sides, your rivers originate from India, you will always be dependent on us.

You do not understand basic economics.
BD can buy elsewhere everything it gets from India but at a higher price. This is the reason India has finally opened up it's markets to BD in a somewhat fair manner and BD exports to India have been growing 50% a year for last 3 years and now crossed 1 billion US dollars.
BD sanctions India, millions of Indians lose their livelihood. BD consumers pay a little extra.

As for water, a massive lol as BD is is probably the wettest country on earth. It is planning to build the Ganges Barrage Project and so anything that India does has no effect on BD.

Know enough to see through your closed economy and BBS fakery! NE India has enough mineral and natural resources in general that your Shonar Bongal can only dream of.

Old trick from the book- cede an inch, grab a yard. Milch cattles are to be treated with care.

So why create these threads and make uninformed posts whining about water all the time. You are already neck deep in water in your swampland, any more and you lot will need to sprout gills.

Yes all fake and this is not noticed by IMF, ADB etc.
Stop sprouting nonsense like the Tamil retard who lost it when I showed him the mirror and got another ban. Lol
50% a year growth in imports from BD for last 3 years and still being sustained means India knows the game is up. Misbehave as regards fair trade and BD stops buying and millions of Indians are jobless.

.
India pisses off BD, it loses NE. Simple as that.
BD guys must be smoking something really good to even think off this.
Thankfully your government knows their place and complies to the demands of their masters.

Be grateful that atleast you got that sh**h**e to live in which you call your country.
JK- Export of labour, maids and rickshaw pullers might be the biggest contribution of your country to the sub continent.

India can blackmail Bangladesh by river water, but only to a certain extent, which Bangladesh is capable to cope with. The biggest leverage India held over Bangladesh is river Teesta. Teesta water flow is not that great, but it flows through the territories in West Bengal and Bangladesh which are dependent on irrigation. There is not enough Teesta water to fully meet demand in both West Bengal and Bangladesh in lean season. That's why it's water became something of a weapon in the hands of Mamata Banerjee which she is using against Bangladesh. But not all rivers are like that.

North east India has little scope for irrigated agriculture, you can not with held all water from mighty Brahmaputra unless you are willing to submerge your entire state of Assam to make a huge water reservoir which can store all the water of Brahmaputra which naturally release water into Bay of Bengal. Most importantly this is a near impossible task concerning costs and the scale of geo-engineering involves. So, India has no other option but to release Brahmaputra water into Bangladesh irrespective of bilateral relation. Same is true for Barak river. There is little use withholding it's water in the Indian sides. Ganges also have same magnitude like Brahmaptra. Withholding all Ganges water is not possible unless Indian govt. willing to submerge Bihar and West Bengal. Farakka barrage only divert water only in lean season to river Hugli to maintain navigability of Kolkata port. It can not stop Ganges water entirely into Bangladesh. Bangladesh can tackle this problem by constructing Ganges barrage project within it's territory.

Whether you like it or not, whether Bangladesh is your friend or foe, you have no other option but to release at least 90-95 percent of river water coming from India into Bangladesh. So, forget about subduing Bangladesh with water terrorism.

India has tanks, aeroplanes. What you have to fight them ? 8% economy will come to 0% economy within one day when India moves one Division army on your border.

Dude, get out of this war mindsight.
BD and India have no need to fight a war. They have close economic relations.

LOL@close economic relations
there are no relations between wolf and sheep. India will eat you up the day it wants

Wars are not fought on intentions (which can change within a minute). Wars are fought on capabilities. Do you have the capability to fight India ?

US and Mexico also have "close economic relations" as you say. US bullies Mexico on daily basis
