Unfortunately in South Asia education is just a means of getting a degree and getting into the middle class or perpetuating it, without using the many years of school and college life to actually learn somethings and benefit their local society and humanity in general. The worst of South Asian societies is India. If population actually being a potential pool of talent is an idea that is true then India with its 1.4 billion population should have become the fount of socio-economic, political and technological innovation. But it is not. A small population country like Libya ( native population about four million ) gave the world the Jamahiriya political concept but India did not despite Modi saying to an international leaders' audience earlier this year that India is the Vishwaguru ( Teacher to the world ). LOL. Of what ?

I will give examples of my two recent threads - the cyclorotor aircraft thread and the carbon-14 depleted radioactive battery thread. Despite the thousands of automobile, aerospace, material and electrical engineers and PhDs in India why weren't those two innovations brought out from India ? The so-called education system in South Asia is mainly for churning out graduates who will be employed in an economic and technological workplace environment where the original systems are developed by non-South Asians and when new systems are brought out - by non-South Asians - then South Asians will merely do post-graduate courses to "upskill" themselves and fit-in in the new system and of course continue the obsolete, anti-democratic, anti-human and anti-intellectual culture that has recently existed for the last seven decades.

Religious teachings brainwash a person since his/ her birth. Whatever may be the religion, with all its good and evil non-logical beliefs/ arguments, makes people superstitious and blind and not to question the beliefs.

This has been the true intention of Hrishi, Saint or Prophet of all faiths. So, if Hinduism itself is bad without logic, all other religions are similarly bad without logic.

The brainwashing starts with the indoctrination of people into believing in the false claims by individuals of being assigned by God Himself. If Hinduism is such a thing, then its neighboring religions are also no different.

I could have simply told you that India "where all R&D conducted have no practical purpose" have developed it's own ASAT Missiles (since it's defence related), but I didn't want to waste my time on it. So the haha would suffice.

Do you really want me to post data about the exorbitant funding (wrt budget expenditure) your S&T departments receive to set up the most overpriced nuclear power plant anywhere? Or you can call it quits now & go back to discussing frigates.

This is inevitable. Bangladesh does not make spares for marine engines (or in some cases is even incapable of repairing sensors, weapons etc.) of the components of a ship. Forget spares for gas turbines, Dilli door ast.

However ToT for frigates must be taken even if expensive (and even if from the UK which will be expensive). Largest ship we have made locally is a small corvette. Unlike Pakistan which already manufactured submarines and Frigates, we have yet to undertake large naval projects like this, because there was simply no need to - so far.

They all look chocolatey brown since they are all South Indian.

IT coolies are mostly from Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

Some are from Bangalore (Karnataka State). these are al Dravidian folks and few of them are Brahmin among them...

High Class Brahmin people don't really need IT jobs to go overseas, they have their opportunities open in India itself.

SpaceX says it will land humans on Mars by 2026. SpaceX has already carried humans to space including to the ISS. How about India ? Though I agree that those three Indian space companies I mentioned previously may, just may, enable Indians to go to Mars by the mid-2030s but of course not only learning by themselves but also building upon innovations by others.

Ok, so I guess it will be the Type-31 in this case bearing in mind the Type-26 frigate comes in at over 1 billion US dollars each.


If there is not the extended range version of sea-captor sam available (40km range) then this would be a disaster with only the standard 25km range SAM installed.

Would really have preferred the Turkish option but let us wait and see what the actual specs are as they may be better than the UK version.

Type-23s may also available for sale, also BN can go for US SAMs like ESSM latest block and RIM-162 or possibly SM-6, if only European weapons are considered them CAMM-ER & Aster15/-30 can be good options for air defense.
