Bangladesh no longer safe for Indian insurgents

Bangladesh is no longer a safe haven for Indian insurgents, BGB told.

“They (Indian insurgents) are no longer active in Bangladesh. There were few training camps and hideouts of Indian insurgents and information, the BGB (Border Guards of Bangladesh) has taken effective action and destroyed them.

Moreover, he said if there was any definite knowledge of Indian insurgent camps on Bangladesh soil, action would be taken by the Bangladesh security forces to dismantle them.

India has a 1,880 km border with Bangladesh along four states - Tripura (856 km), Assam (263 km), Meghalaya (443 km) and Mizoram (318 km).

Expressing concern on the cattle smuggling along the India-Bangladesh border, Sharma said his troopers continued to make all efforts to thwart the crime.

“You must realize that the populations on both sides of the border have been indulging in this activity for a very long time. Wherever we become strict, cattle smuggling is stopped in that area. They immediately shift to another area. So inspite of our best efforts, this has not completely stopped,” he said.

Sharma said the BSF was in the process of covering the gaps along the India-Bangladesh border with technological solutions.

“Very soon we will be installing an intruder detection alarm system to detect any intruder.

They're talking about groups like ULFA/NDFB who are using Bangladesh as base to attack India.BGB is taking actions against them so that they can't use Bangladesh as training ground.Most of these groups now shifted their base to Myanmar.Even Myanmar is acting against them.But sadly,Myanmar doesn't have total control on their land.

It was India’s RAW intelligence agency that had drafted Sri Lankan Tamil youth in multitudes, who were trained by the Indian army in its training centers, armed and bankrolled them, and unleashed them on the neighboring island state to vanquish it. For almost three decades, the Sri Lankans had tried to quell the India-sponsored blood-soaked Tamil militancy. India has appropriated to itself the role of determining the extent of independence and sovereignty its neighbors will enjoy, and you think LTTE was itself originated?

LTTE was self originated.

India only supported them from brief period of time due to Sri Lanka's defiance.Don't argue on these facts as it is well established truth.

You only know name of LTTE which was only a minor group in 70s.You don't know dozens of other groups and what is the reason of their fight.Groups India never supported but it paved ways of groups like LTTE,which had some form of success against military.

But I still can't find any reason why you're dragging RAW here. In the article,there is no mention of RAW.
