Bangladesh Naval ship in Colombo
The Bangladesh naval ship Bangabandhu arrived at the Port of Colombo on a goodwill visit yesterday. The visiting ship sailing under the command of Captain MIR Ershad Ali was welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy in accordance with Naval traditions.

The Commanding Officer of BNS Bangabandhu accompanied by Bangladesh Defence Adviser to Sri Lanka, Commodore M. Nasir paid a courtesy call on Navy Commander Vice Admiral Jayanath Colombage at the Naval Headquarters in Colombo. They held cordial discussions and exchange mementos as a gesture of goodwill.
BNS Bangabandhu is 103.7 meters in length and has a displacement of 2,370 tons.
It consists of a complement of 20 officers, 30 under training offices and 200 sailors.
The ship will be in Sri Lanka until Monday.
The ship's complement will participate in a special programme organised by the Sri Lanka Navy during their stay in Sri Lanka.
