Bangladesh gets its first Hindu Chief Justice

This is great gesture by BD. BD was first created for Muslims only. That was a great mistake. Later we had to pay the price in 71 war. All of our assets were destroyed and a confused nation took some more times to recover from political anarchy. But we have made a secular prosperous nation now. While our neighbors will turn communal, Im sure BD will be the only liveable place to live equally.
we "paid the price in 71" as we were paying the price for 200 years until 1947. both cases, the price was to give our sovereignty or progress away to India or to Hindus

anyone appointed by BAL is by default an extremist Indian nationalist

@bongbang @BDforever I wanted to ask you something off-topic, does the freedom movement of undivided India against British Raj and 1947 has any importance in Bangladesh? Or the freedom fighters of that time, especially those who had their origin in Bengal / East Bengal? Do you read about them in school?

Yes schools teach about them. Specially in a negative way. Some attempts to undermine Bangal Muslims.

. .

The books teach that those undivided Bengal movements were not in Bangladesh/East Bengal 's interest.
Hindu leaders wanted to keep power in their hand in Kolkata. Attacks on Bangal Muslim leaders and British officials
are seen as enmity between Hindu and Muslims. Also Congress stand to not setup Dhaka University is seen as anti BD movement. But also told that Congress understood the British intention was too weak the movements in Bengal by dividing people.
If we realize now about what happened. Hindus wanted an undivided Bengal 1906. First British divided Bengal with language. Then with religion. Muslims of Bengal then collaborated with British to divide Bengal but Hindus didnt. This is the time when first Hindu Muslim separation happened. Later when Muslims wanted an undivided Bengal but Hindus didnt want to join the unified Bengal called East Pakistan.

Muslims first made the mistake by dividing Bengal later Hindus repeated the same
