Bangladesh brings down open defecation to 1pc

Although this data was given by UNICEF, but he still having a hallucination of BBS.This only shows the desperation and running out of argument on part of him.He always badmouth about BBS,but the truth is, no international body ever complained about the methodology or data presented by BBS.He always site the literacy figure of BBS which contradict UNESCO figure for his bitching about the BBS. But that poor fellow doesn't know,BBS follow a different definition of literacy than used by the UNESCO.Hence the difference.

No statistical agency is 100 percent correct.BBS may also have some error like any other. But 1 or 2 wrong data doesn't entirely discredit any statistical agency. They are dealing with millions of data.No one have any complain about BBS,but this can't be said about the vedic statestics of Shuppa pawa.A lot of economist have doubt for the Modi magic GDP growth figure.

He is obsessed with BD. Sad as that seems to be his only interest in life.

True,India have more per capita income than Bangladesh. So if BD can then why not India? I think, you need to enact strict law against public defecation/urination with fine/jail term for such a thing. Many developed country have law against even spitting in public. And this is much more harmful than that.Only building govt. toilet or 'clean India' campaign, public awareness program will not do much.We have seen earlier, Indian villagers using govt. funded toilet for storing cow dung or using for other purpose. So it is a time to be strict.
Singapore had this crazy laws against spitting in the public. maybe we need some of those

Nothing crazy about laws against spitting in public spaces not just Singapore many other countries have it but Singapore also does not sell gum or allow anyone to chew gum in public.. It's quite a police state

You seem like an Indian version of Jamaati. 1-0....lol this is no point scoring.

He is not Indian. He claimed he was Keralite (mallu) and he can't speak one word of it when approached.

A typical false flagger.

I also do not think these are fudged data as my mate @Nilgiri seems to claim, Cos lately in every conceivable multi lateral agency or reputed non govt org have acknowledged the impressive gains in Bangladesh when it comes to their HDI's and millennium development goals, There are no discrepancies in any of those studies

Sorry they have low institutional capacity (BD) combined with few of the UN agencies doing their own independent fieldwork for ground verification. They just accept the susceptible BBS data as verbatim truth (they dont really have much other option, why would they want to cause conflict with member countries being the UN?...they don't have really much staff to do surveying themselves worldwide anway). The BD members here always bring up "who do you think gathers the data" when I bring up UN data gathering and analysis process anyway.....they can't have it both ways. When BD has some credible institutional capacity, I will take their figures more seriously. Same goes for Afghanistan, Malawi and whichever other countries UNICEF has mentioned in the same bracket.

With such poor institution capacity, non-UN agencies matter much more....just like the US (cuban expat based) truth finding missions into Cuban healthcare and just like liveability index by the economist into Dhaka (which they rated terrible - near the bottom, yes for sanitation, health and living conditions too)....and many other examples. If there are "reputable" "NGO"s lets seem them and their reports. They are always mentioned, never produced (and sorry I don't count BD origin "NGO"s as reputable, honest) and I never see any detailed mention of their sampling and data gathering....often just regurgitating of BBS claims.

All UN indices credibility therefore really correlate closely with institutional capacity in my opinion. It hurts the BD people here a lot because they are truly scared when real accounts like this one pop out even here:

https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/why-...l-suck-for-a-long-time-my-perspective.441599/

So like I said, India cares more about dealing with its problems without comparing to countries with miniscule institutional capacity (which bases its own existence on a lie regarding genocide of 3 million harnessing this) that can easily just lie to its own people and others (under the immense corruption at all levels they are riddled with to begin with...and more worryingly stuck in) without much blowback. You can sugar coat and lie as much you want, just like the US media did about Trump....the reality eventually beats it to a pulp (like what real people that visit Dhaka and BD actually report back to others). The on the ground dissonance experienced (and filmed by) the few foreign people visiting Dhaka speaks quite clearly too....but the BD people hate seeing that again and report my post....so I don't really care much about creating any more debate with them on that.

Wonderful. Any good news from BD is much appreciated. It's nice and exciting seeing BD prospering and developing so fast. Btw, I do not think it's a coincidence that both BD and PK have a lower rate of open defecation than India even though they're poorer.

Dude is BD also lying about it's 71 year average life expectancy?

. .
Finally BD won the Champion trophy of open defecation. This time final was IND vs BD:D

.
Building millions of toilets wont necessarily stop people from pooping on the roads

Hence why the Swach bharat program is not just building stuff. There are massive education and training camps and self-monitoring and self-help schemes too.

https://blogs.worldbank.org/category/tags/open-defecation

But creating access is always the 1st step. Lets remember there wasn't even access to begin with in large parts of India just 2 years ago.

Dude is BD also lying about it's 71 year average life expectancy?

You know how its calculated and what the cascade correlations are like? If so which ones have the highest sensitivity?

He probably does not believe that a country named Bangladesh exists in the first place. :D

Thats true for more Pakistanis in this forum...not me.

Armenian Genocide sure gets more recognition worldwide though compared to the BD claimed one. Would you believe in the former though based on that?

The law is not crazy. Given how neat the place is they shouldn't need laws like that
Maybe it is a catch 22 situation

It is futile to argue with him about anything positive about BD.He just flatly refuse to acknowledge anything good about BD.Previously he said,he doesn' believe BBS data but only believe internationally credible one like UN data and it' s affiliated UNESCO or UNICEF.But he now proved, those institution which is most credible one for these health, demographic indicators and used worldwide as reference are not reliable enough to him, if it shows anything positive about BD.It seems, entire world is worng and only he is right. Now he is putting faith to American NGO.If any American NGO conduct any research and come to same conclusion then he will get some other excuse to deny that and question the credibility of that NGO.He has a pathological obsession with Bangladesh and has developed an unhealthy hatred and denialist attitude of anything about BD for his interaction with Bangladeshi members here.He flatly refuse to believe anything positive about BD just because he has 'not so friendly' interaction with Bangladeshi members in this forum.I think we are wasting our time to replying his insane blabbering. It is best to ignore him altogather.

Either you know how the life expectancy is calculated and how the WHO itself has studied the most sensitive parameters open to manipulation in a number of papers....or you dont. If you want to ignore the challenge and thats your best argument, well so be it.....BD is a well of ignorance in more ways than one it seems then.

Now if you have some international NGOs reports on any health and sanitation matter regarding poor insitutional capacity BD...detailing their sampling strategy and methodology, lets see it. I have asked many times before, not one of you could provide it...just that "BRAC" is "credible"....well lets see the details.

Till then Bangladesh is a terribly corrupt country I wouldn't trust anything automatically...everyone has to be like the UN now? The same UN that puts massive human rights violators (countries that stone and behead people on flimsy evidence and judicial procedure) on organisations that deal with the very same subject?...just because they are members and thus equally credible to any other member? The same UN that takes North Korea, Cuba and other completely closed, authoritarian countries health propoga...err data verbatim too? Yeah pass.

If BD is so super duper on sanitation, the economist wouldn't have noticed the nasty stench, open effluent and god knows what else (probably have to leave the safer areas which they probably didn't) in Dhaka in their liveability index (and made Dhaka take a terrible hit on the relevant components)...ranking Dhaka next to complete warzones in libya and syria. Thats the kind of thing that happens when you send direct observers instead of harnessing BBS claims directly....and even in that index they took some BBS claims (because who wants to spend tons of time gathering every specific in Dhaka especially), so who knows how much worse it would be if they trusted absolutely nothing (and if they cared enough to do so).

Thats the thing with BD, no one really cares about it in the first place. There is a happy well of self-imposed denial and ignorance respectively on either side. Only a few truthful people like @Mohammed Khaled and my RL friends from BD matter in the end....in challenging this BBS hoax.

Is it any surprise? Look at where the BD govt is ranked in corruption, and worse yet not improving an inch:

https://www.transparency.org/news/feature/corruption_perceptions_index_2016

It gets even worse if you read the full report in specifically what BD govt is stagnating in.

Why do humans as a category always give more importance to the negative.
Except nilgiri ,every other Indian here has appreciated BDs achievement ,why focus so much energy on convincing him ?
Now focus on how to improve Dhaka's streets as I believe some tourists had very bad things to say about them.

Although Bangladesh and Pakistan have somewhat lower per capita income than India, both of these countries have actually lower poverty rate than India.Resource distribution in India is very skewed.India is a country of many billionaire as well as the high poverty rate. Moreover there is a huge regional imbalance within India.Thier richest state(Delhi) have per capita income 8 times higher than poorest state(Bihar). This type of economic imbalance is not seen either in developed or developing countries.Even in China where coastal provinces have experienced much more rapid economic growth compare to rest of China, gap is not that extreme.
