Bangladesh believes in 'One China' policy: Dilip

DHAKA, June 15 (BSS)- Industries Minister Dilip Barua today said Bangladesh believes in one-China policy, with Tibet and Taiwan are the integral parts of the socialist republic.

"We (Bangladesh) are proud to be a development partner of China which is now being considered as one of world's economic super powers," he said while meeting Deputy Minister for International Department of Chinese Communist Party, Ai Ping, in Beijing, China.

Dilip Barua, who is now visiting Beijing, apprised the
Chinese minister about the progress Bangladesh has made so far
under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's leadership and thanked
Chinese Communist Party for its positive views towards
Bangladesh.

The Chinese minister appreciated Sheikh Hasina's leadership
for spearheading sustainable development in Bangladesh and hoped
that the country would soon become a middle income nation
applying its 'Vision 2021' paths.

Bangladesh Ambassador to China Munshi Foyez Ahmed, embassy
official Abdul Motaleb Sarker and representatives from Chinese
Communist Party were present.
