. . . .
CN 235 looks like can enter the tender. I hope Indonesia Aerospace will win the tender.

. .
C- 295W will be the front-runner without a doubt.

We will see mate.....Just to make it clearer here, they dont put minimum capacity of +2, 30 seats without any reason, any possibility is still open :bunny:

.
Small plane like CN 235 is still needed. Just take for consideration of Indonesian Air Force who ordered 9 NC 212i planes in 2019.

One of the plane has been ready for test flight before being send to our Air Force

@HRK @DalalErMaNodi @Bilal9 @Avicenna

We also can give you NC 212i or CN 235 with additional fuel tanks to extend the range like we did to Vietnam.

This is why i have doubt. Otherwise i would have thought it's just for C-295W cause even army officers indicated to C-295W which we operate already. The original plan was to buy two original C-295 initially but later they chose the improved "W" version. I was checking the wiki and found that you too produce C-295. Are you not allowed to sell it?

Indonesia Aerospace (Dirgantara Indonesia) only produces some parts of C-295, we only can make it in Indonesia facility if the planes are intended for our own need, nor for selling it outside. We dont have export right on the plane.

Despite C 295 is developed from CN 235 where Indonesia Aerospace has 50 % stake on the program, but it look like who ever develop CN 235 further with meaningful changes will own that new program. It is also similar like our N-245 project which is currently being developed by Indonesia Aerospace which is also another development of CN 235.

I remember reading about Dr. B.J. Habibie's plan to wean Nurtanio off of the Casa/Nurtanio partnership in the IPTN days (when Suharto was his buddy and still alive). Indonesia had (and still has) some honest visionary leaders. The CN235 was the next step past the C212. I believe a jet powered prototype was also planned. This all got put in the back burner when Indonesian economy took a downturn.

I still believe Dirgantara should design its own airplane and sell it to Asian markets, but baby steps first.
