Bangladesh abstains in UNGA vote over Ukraine issue

Those Chechnya man are already got killed and run away. The russian army moral is extremely low and it will only get worse. You think slav ppl give **** about those Chechnya man lol. You dont have family so you dont know the ground reality.

Okay so according to your inside family source approximately 12000 battle hardened Chechen soldiers already died and/or ran back to Russia.

I am gonna end our conversation here, because it is futile.

.
This can only be achieved by (1) occupy Ukraine, fully, or (2) invade, install puppet regime that can be controlled from Moscow, leave.
Yes, exactly. Russia is fighting in Ukraine for its own survival. It cannot allow NATO (read America) inclusion of Ukraine, but Ukraine was moving towards this end. With NATO at its border, Russia would have been surrounded by it. This is what is unacceptable to Russia.

The purpose of Russian advance is to assure its own security. If not stalled today, NATO powers would have surrounded Russia from the west, and by Japan and Korea from the east. All led by America.

Unless NATO powers agree not to include Ukraine in that group, there is a possibility that Russia will take control of Ukraine entirely and will install a friendly regime.

What is Assad regime ?

US has grand total of 80,000 troops stationed in entire continent of Europe

The lesson of the cold war in Europe is that political repression cannot continue indefinitely
Please do not put your bet over those all-time coke-drinking US boys in Europe. They cannot fight anymore. Afghanistan is a good example. They virtually lived in steel containers there to protect themselves from Taliban attacks who are only 80,000 in total.

Not all the Chechen fighters have been killed. But, it is also true that some of this group have been killed near the Ukraine Capital. The thing is Chechens being Muslim are a very brave and dangerous group of people. However, they are not fighting in their homeland territory.

Below is the full text of Chechen engagements there. It also says that another group of Chechen is fighting against the group fighting for Russia.

Your word choice is wrong. I would say ally not bitch ; ally because of interest of both indeed.

Again you must not be short sighted. The world doesn't revolve around cheap oil and cheap gas. It's much more than that.

Not really , because of sanction if EU can't import gas and oil from Russia, they will be in serious trouble.

They can't import such huge amount of oil via oil tanker, they simply can't afford it.

Do not judge countries just with gdp per capita only. You should first consider the trade surplus of a nation.

There are lot more that can't be discussed easily.

This war is going to change the system. You must remember that Russia and China's economy isn't based on garments selling to west like Bangladesh.
EU will use coal and nuclear energy. Rest will be imported lng. If third world bd be can import lng u think Germany cant afford it? Within 2 years you will europe fixed it. Of course its great news for canada and usa since we have shit load of oil and gas to export.

And what system will change? Its the same. Usa just printed trillions and created wealth just like that during covid. West still own way too much wealth and technology to be challenged any time soon.

And partnership where china will greatly benefit while russian will live like north Koreans.

If i heard one cents from pdf ppl dollar day is over i will be millionaire now. Its the same shit what indian ppl say about being supa pawa. Just unrealistic bs talks.

12000 Chechens fighers didnt go there. Only few hundred went and already been neutralised. What will these asshole will do ha ha if Russian with all military might still cant enter keiv. You are talking like these mofos are some sort of super soldiers.

Even Russian hate these chechens. Vast majority Russian are slavs and Christians. U do remember Russian rape there women and killed them like dogs in 90s.

Guys, yes the vote was not the easiest for BD but BD was right to abstain.

BD cannot be made to choose sides and the West is in its last 1-2 decades of worldwide domination that will come to and end after hundreds of years as China matches the West in all areas within a generation.

BD is in the company of the likes of China, India and dozens of other countries and so cannot be picked off that easily for sanctions.

West is in deep economic trouble and they have bigger fish to fry with Russia and China to bother with BD.

@F-6 enthusiast Mi-28 deal was never signed. Ak-15 deal I am pretty sure would not have been signed to so soon after issuing tenders either. Bangladesh Armed Forces really need to get a grip when it comes to procurement and standardisation. Pick secure sources of supply and standardise equipment across three forces. All our equipment should come from the West (including Turkey), China and South Korea with heavy emphasis on ToT.
Well i guess that means no R-77 or KH-31 either.

.
Yup, currency swap deal will be the solution. Indonesia has also made this deal with so many countries.

I think this situation will make Non Western ally countries speed up the process of effort to minimize the dependency to Western system in term of international trade and financing.
yes maybe barter trade as well , go back to the old ways
nobody said its gonna be easy

'We want peace': Momen explains why Bangladesh abstained from UNGA vote denouncing Russia

Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen has condemned Russia's ongoing military offensive in Ukraine even as Bangladesh abstained from voting on a resolution to denounce the invasion at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

Explaining Bangladesh's decision not to vote at the emergency session called by the UN Security Council on Mar 3, Momen said it was because the country is "against war" and wants "peace".
"We want peace. We’re against war. That’s why we did not vote in favour of the war," he told reporters at the National Press Club on Saturday.

The UNGA overwhelmingly voted to reprimand Russia for invading Ukraine and demanded that Moscow stop fighting and withdraw its military forces, an action that aims to diplomatically isolate Russia at the world body.

The resolution was supported by 141 of the assembly's 193 members but Russia along with Belarus, which has served as a launchpad for Russian invasion forces, Eritrea, North Korea and Syria voted against it. Meanwhile, 35 members, including Bangladesh, India and China, abstained from the vote.
Md Monwar Hossain, a UN representative from Bangladesh, expressed his support for the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity and called for restraint for all parties.

He urged the secretary general to engage all actors in dialogue and underlined the need to create safe and unimpeded humanitarian access and allow safe passage for anyone trying to leave Ukraine.

At the same time, he called for safe and secure access to humanitarian aid in Ukraine as well as safe passage for those looking to leave the country.

Asked about Bangladesh's position on the ongoing conflict, Momen said, "Our position remains the same. We want peace and stability throughout the world. If there is instability anywhere then it's a problem for us. The COVID-19 pandemic has shown how instability can hurt business and trade.”

"Bangladesh wants peace and is the biggest promoter of peace in the world."
"We have spoken about the need for a peaceful resolution through talks. We have said the same thing at the UN. We have said that we are deeply concerned. The secretary general of the United Nations should take an initiative to bring about a peaceful solution."

As the conflict rages on in Eastern Europe, many Bangladeshis have found themselves stranded in different parts of Ukraine and neighbouring countries alongside Indians.

Asked if Dhaka has been in contact with Delhi over their evacuation, the minister said, "We are in regular talks with India. They are helping us."
A Bangladeshi ship, MV Banglar Samriddhi, was also hit by a shell in the port of Olvia in Ukraine, killing the vessel's third engineer Hadisur Rahman.

Asked if Dhaka had any information about who attacked the ship, Momen said, "We do not know who bombed the ship. Russia has expressed regret about the incident. The damage wasn't too great. But we are bringing the sailors back home because they are scared.”

Has the US and EU expressed displeasure with Bangladesh over this? They are important trade partners fire Bangladesh

So far only Lithuania has reacted and canceled a decision on donating Covid-19 vaccines to BD. There might be more expressions in the future, maybe.

Yeah sure, whatever you say. Read below- 12000 is what was quoted directly by Chechen premier. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.al...y-says-forces-deployed-ukraine-to-back-russia

Chechens are split since the 90s. With one group loyal to Dzhokhar Dudayev fighting against Russia in every war theater from Syria to Donbass. Another is Sheikh Mansoor Battalion, some of whom even joined ISIS.

The other is loyal to Kadyrov family. They have been fighting for Russia and was deployed in Syria to fight for Russia. Doesn't matter Russians like Chechens or not, they have been serving Russia.

We are far off topic, and I no longer wish to discuss with you any more.

Germany and other developed countries aren't third world countries who will make shoe with the skin of it's citizen.

There are no corrupted people there who will loot money when people will starv.

So necessarily Germany won't choose the way unlike third world corrupted countries.

They will do whatever is better for their people.

Besides , if you look at the bigger picture , I would recommend you to observe brexit.

Why did united Kingdom left EU if usa and entire Europe is like family?

EU ( and it's driver Germany) won't entirely screw themselves in order to serve American and British purpose.

You see that it's Britain who is sometimes more vocal than usa against Russia.

A war on Europe will never impact usa hugely , but Europe really can't afford it. Usa isn't providing strong back up to NATO you see from Trump era!

So where do your simplistic theory work , please elaborate.

In the end there is no friend of a state , and Germany isn't going to serve British American purpose after a certain limit.

Of course its great news for canada and usa since we have shit load of oil and gas to export.
Canada and usa are importer of fuel , not exporter. You should study it. Oil is politics and usa will always enrich oil and gas reserves, never ever will export.

I don't know from where you got the idea. I'm surprised!

Nowadays world currency system is fiat currency and you don't have to have way too much wealth to print paper money.

Fiat currency doesn't require the back up of wealth and that's why inflation is like hell.

Although it has some benefits ,but it's a huge subject to discuss here.

Besides, tbh I am not expert in economics and I most of time avoid such discussions.

Others who are expert can give you more light, but it's surely a controversial matter whether fiat currency is good or bad!
And partnership where china will greatly benefit while russian will live like north Koreans.
There is no point of arguing when you already set a fixed mind on it.

Your mindsetting is imperialistic , where only one will king and all are subservient. Otherwise you wouldn't think that western block always revolve around usa and East revolve around China.

Of course they are driving force , but others are not sub servients.

What is Assad regime ?

1. If there's something called Assad "regime" then so also exists the USA regime, the British regime, the French regime, the Indian regime, the Israeli regime and so on.

2. What Assad and his allies are doing for the last 11 years is trying to eliminate straight out criminals from Al Qaeda and "Muslim" Brotherhood from all over the world and like I said earlier, who were inserted into Syria by NATO and GCC. NATO since the end of WW2 has considered left-wing individuals, movements and countries as its extremest enemies, for what rational reason I don't know, and Syria being governed by the Baath Socialist movement like Libya was governed by the Communist-Socialist Jamahiriya system and Venezuela and Cuba and North Korea being similarly governed, these places have seen regime-change attempts or successful regime change or assassination attempts or sabotage or subversion.

No matter what the history is, there is no justification for killing and displacing civilians.
At an individual level, one can both walk and chew gum by denouncing all violence against civilians.
At a geopolitical level, countries like BD are better off remaining neutral.

One has to take a stand for moral reasons - real morality and not the fake one propagated by the Western establishments.

Assad is running a family dictatorship since 1970. USA, Britain, France, India and Israel are not.

Feel free to emigrate to the likes of Venezuela and Cuba and North Korea
