Bangabandhu’s self-confessed killer Abdul Majed arrested

You do not represent the will of Bangladeshi people, jamaati. In fact, quite the opposite. Your people are called traitors to Bangladesh.

If I am a Jamaati then you are the king of Gondwanaland. Go take a look at my thread of Bangladeshi models.

People don't have to be Jamaati in Bangladesh to distrust Indian Govt. and Sanghis - which are the same entities these days. These people are not our well-wishers barring a few decent Indian folks.

Most Indians in PDF are Sanghis - and are not friends of Bangladesh.

Sanghis like to call Bangladeshis like me 'Jamatis'. Suit yourselves.

Why should we not be allowed to talk about Sheikh Mujiber Rehman? Nobody is celebrating his murder? Bangladeshi army slaughtered him and his whole family members. People are making points that he had links with RAW and this is why army and intelligence people killed him. The people who killed him were Bangali, they are not Pakistani.

Thanks for the information brother. I never heard of Rakhhi Bahini, will do some reading on them. I heard of the Mukhti Bahini as one of my relative was in the army when the war took place, he was arrested and kept as prisoner of war. He has a different story, he claims of heavy RAW involvement and Indian army posing as liberation fighters(call them mercenaries if you like). He said it was a sad event, because at the end of the day the Bangladeshi people were our own brothers and sisters, we fought side by side to get independent from the British and stood against the rising barat nationalism. The Bangali people sacrificed alot and worked hard to make independent Pakistan(1947). The kick off between PPP and AML was a big problem. These 2 parties over power caused all the trouble.

Thanks for your comments brother, here is some more information,

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jatiya_Rakkhi_Bahini

The decision of forming a RAW-supported Indian-led National Militia was why the Sheikh lost his life along with his family.

A quoted and linked excerpt from Wikipedia,

"The Rakkhi Bahini was distrusted by the defence services in Bangladesh because of its pro-Indian orientation.[1] This was so for several reasons. First, most of the members of the armed forces who fought during the War of Independence strongly believed that the Indian Army just walked in at the end of Bangladesh Liberation War thereby robbing the Bangladesh military of the "glory of liberating their motherland."[1] Second, many senior military officers believed that the government-in-exile at Mujibnagar signed a secret treaty with the Indian government, compromising the sovereignty of Bangladesh and that Sheikh Mujib became less interested in the development of the defence forces because of that treaty. Third, many senior army personnel felt that the Jatiya Rakkhi Bahini was planned and designed by the Indian Army for the safety of the Awami League regime. The poorly-equipped defence services were also bitter about the fact that the Indian Army took away all the sophisticated weapons left by the Pakistan Army.[1]

Why are they called traitors? It was the Bangali army who killed Mujiber Rehman, not RAW or IS. The army knew the secret links, they are not stupid.

Would you accept if a Bangladeshi political party or its leadership makes contacts with RAW and wants to divide Bangladesh in to 2 nations. One for BNP and allies and one for AML and allies, 50/50. Would this be acceptable to you? And if this happens then the armed forces will know very well what happened, they may not be able to stop it but will know about who sold who out, who used blood for political purposes. Look at Bangladesh right now, BNP and allies are marginalised, leader in jail, another opposition party leaders hanged. My point is these types of actions could lead to severe consequences and once that happens, the army will punish those who were responsible.

Mate...My request is to stay out of these BD complain in PDF...These guys are more hypocrite than Pakistan friends...Do not need to take their side complain to mod..
Yes Bangladeshi posters are hypocrite because they do not like to lick other's balls as some of you expect . Here some of your countrymen love to speak with their anus ( perhaps they defecate with their mouth , or like bat they do the both work through the same channel?) instead of mouth .

Even they keep barking that since Bangladesh is no rich country so it's infection should be higher than USA . (Never even think that according to their scientific theory India has already 27 crore infected people by Covid - 19 since India's per capita income is 32.5 time lesser than USA) . Their theory is only for Bangladesh . Why Bangladesh only have 26 infected people per million it's a big headache for them .

So when your guys want to insert bamboo in Bangladeshi anus and Bangladeshi supposed to be suc.king Indian or others balls ? Bengali did not suck Pakistani military d.ick before 50 years though that was their own country that time , then why the heck they ( Bangladeshi ) will s.u.ck Indian dick when they repeatedly offend us ?

Finally start living together with your Pakistani paramours ,we have no problem , no headache. Just ask some of your dirty vermin ( who did not stop sh.itting here even in the time of the pandemic) not to make this section dirty with their vomits and feces , just ask them to leave us alone forever for fuk's sake.

Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family were killed at 2 different locations. The Bangladeshi military people knew the links between Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and India so they had to be finished off. You cant have a new nation under the control of traitors and somebody had to pay for this division.
It was the politicians who made the people fight and caused fitna. The same way in Pakistan Bhutto was finished.

What alot of people dont mention is that even though Pakistan was divided and Bangla people made their own nation, the highly trained Bangladeshi military and Intelligence people knew what happened, they knew about the links with India and Raw involvement, they knew about Mukhti Bahni, about the propaganda used, it was unacceptable. A snake is a snake.
A snake who died a snakes`s death. Lovely!!!!!!!!

By that logic, wtf was his douchebag doing in India?

:rofl::rofl: Bravo bravo bravo , Pakistani speaking for and defending India's RAW . That's why I called Hindustani Pakistani Bhai bhai .

That's what all the bangalis are saying on this forum and elsewhere, that it was the Bangali army officers who planned his assassination. If RAW was involved then why the Bangladeshi government is very friendly to India? Why not ask them to apologise for killing their founder? Do you believe RAW was behind this? I certainly would love to blame RAW but trying to discuss the facts.

Your comment about Hindustani Pakistani bhai bhai is a very low comment. Cheap propaganda. If I want I can make similar comments about Bangladeshi people and India but I wont do that, bet you really want me to say something in those lines so you can play the victim card. So stay in your limit. RAW is a terrorist agency and I have no love for it.

The Bangladeshi government needs to say Mujiber Rehman killing was ordered by RAW and we want India to apologise, instead your government calls India the hero.

What an interesting thread indeed.

No wonder there will be no investigation on Chittagong Tract genocide which lasted 20 years and the recent systematic genocide of the Rohingyas.

With the massive unemployment surge heading there along with concerns of human rights violation by the Hasina regime.

Bangladesh could erupt into a global humanitarian crisis.

It needs intervention too.

When any intelligence agencies do some works, they don't leave evidence for common people. But if you observe carefully, you will see that after our independence Mujib made warm relationship with OIC and Pakistan. He declared general amnesty except 195 alleged war criminals from Pakistan army.

If Mujib would be alive, India lost many benefits as they were getting and still getting from BangladeshI market.

Bangladesh is now in a critical position. We directly can't go against india until we become more militarily strong. I would only say that, strong military power in both side of india will not be good for them. Politics is dirty thing and it's what we see with our bare eyes, most of time the opposite is the truth.

But look at my signature, perhaps Bangladesh govt is following the process. Keep your friends close and enemies closer.

And after NRC and CAA you saw the concern of Bangladesh, didn't you? A friendly relation with neighborhs don't make them ally! You should not forget it.

Now for Pakistani Bangladeshi people. Most of them consider themselves as brothers because they have same faith. When some fundamental points came, they became adversary too. I believe we should follow USA UK relationship. If we can compromise in some fundamental case, many problems between Pakistan and Bangladesh will be solved.

We have to respect others soft and vulnerable points. Only then everything can be changed. At least as Muslim countries tightening the bond between us is the only way to survive. We saw that no super power is actually doing anything but giving lip service on kashmir and rohingya issue.

Muslim nations are also silent, but it's only because Muslim nations are weak in military power. I don't know if any unity is possible or not, at least let's not fight between ourselves by hitting each other's vulnerable point.

I hope you understand what I wanted to say.

No, the snake was Yahya Khan and ZA Bhutto. One died of over drinking and the other was killed by the hangman, Ziaul Haq. They deserved this punishment for conspiring to divide the country into two. Note what role ZA played at the UN session, he tore down the compromise paper.

Abdul Majed

The Dhaka District and Sessions Judge Court on Wednesday issued a death warrant for retired army officer Abdul Majed, one of the six absconding death-row convicts for killing the country’s founding president Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members in 1975.

Judge Helal Chowdhury issued the warrant at 1:45pm after showing him arrested in the murder case as prayed by the prosecution.

‘Majed has sought presidential mercy. His opinion has not been sought for appeal as there is no such scope at this stage,’ law minister Anisul Huq told New Age later in the evening.

Additional inspector general of prisons Md Abrar Hossain said that they had forwarded the mercy petition to the home ministry for the president’s response.

In the afternoon, inspector general of prisons AKM Mustafa Kamal Pasha, however, said that Majed would get the opportunity to file appeal.

Court assistant Komal Krisna Das reached Dhaka Central Jail at Keraniganj at 3:30pm with the death warrant and the case’s verdict in a sealed envelope wrapped in red clothes.

Majed was placed before the court on the day following its order. As no lawyer appeared for him, the judge asked his name and him present and permanent addresses to crosscheck the information also mentioned in the case document. Earlier, the Supreme Court cancelled the leave for the court of district judge Helal Chowdhury.

The judge, his court officers and employees were on leave due to public holiday announced by the government to slow the spread of coronavirus.

Their leaves were cancelled only for a day to deal with the Mujib murder case, SC spokesman Mohammad Saifur Rahman told reporters in a message.

On Tuesday the court of chief metropolitan magistrate AM Zulfiqar Hayat, sent Majed to the Dhaka Central Jail after he was arrested in Dhaka on early Tuesday.

On April 30, 2001, the High Court upheld death sentences for Majed and 11 convicts, and acquitted three others.

On January 28, 2010, the jail authorities hanged five of the 12 convicts after the Appellate Division dismissed the appeals and review petitions filed by the five convicts.

Meanwhile the Awami League on Wednesday demanded immediate implementation of the death sentence for Abdul Majed.

Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader placed the demand in a written statement as he was now staying at home for COVID-19 outbreak.

Abdul Majed.

President Abdul Hamid has turned down the mercy petition of retired army Captain Abdul Majed, one of the convicted killers of the country’s founding president Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, clearing the way for his execution.

‘I’ve heard that president Abdul Hamid has dismissed the mercy pleas of Majed but I’m yet to receive the copy,’ home minister Asaduzzaman Khan said on Thursday.

The president rejected the petition when it reached Bangabhaban on Wednesday night after he sought presidential clemency for his deeds.

Earlier, a court issued the death warrant for Majed.

Judge of Dhaka’s District and Sessions Court M Helal Chowdhury issued the death warrant for Majed after he was placed before his court.

The court also showed him arrested in the Mujib murder case.

Sources at Dhaka Central Jail said that the death warrant reached the jail at about 5:00pm on Wednesday and it was read out to Majed.

Majed was arrested from the city’s Mirpur area on early Tuesday.

A team of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit arrested him at about 3:30am.

He was placed before the court of chief metropolitan magistrate AM Zulfiqar Hayat which sent him to jail on the day.

On August 15, 1975, Bangladesh’s founding president Sheikh Mujib and most of his family members were assassinated by a group of military personnel.

Eighteen members of his family, including his wife Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib, three sons — Captain Sheikh Kamal, Lieutenant Sheikh Jamal and 10-year-old Sheikh Russel, two daughters-in-law Sultana Kamal and Rosy Jamal, brother Sheikh Naser, peasant leader Abdur Rab Serniabat, youth leader Sheikh Fazlul Haq Moni and his wife Arzu Moni, Baby Serniabat, Sukanta Babu, Arif and Abdul Nayeem Khan Rintu, were, among others, were also killed on that fateful night.

Bangabandhu’s killer Majed executed

https://www.bssnews.net/?p=374527

DHAKA, April 12, 2020 (BSS) – Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s convicted killer sacked military captain Abdul Majed was hanged after midnight overnight at Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj on the outskirts of the capital.

“He was hanged at 12.01 am,” Law Minister Anisul Huq told BSS.

A prison official said the civil surgeon declared Majed dead at 12.15 am.

He said other concerned officials including a magistrate, police representatives witnessed the execution as required by the law while inspector general of prisons Brigadier General AKM Mostafa Kamal Pasha also was present.

Pasha in a media briefing later in front of the jail complex said the body would now be handed over to Majed’s family members for burial.

“Officials concerned who were necessary to witness the execution under law were present,” he said, adding that this was the first case of the execution since Dhaka Central Jail was relocated in Keraniganj.

Jailor Mahbubul Islam later told BSS that the officials present included Dhaka’s deputy commissioner who is the district magistrate as well, police superintendent, the civil surgeon and the deputy inspector general of prisons.

Defying a COVID-19 restriction, a number of people emerged in front of the jail at midnight.

Majed was one of the remaining convicts of 1975 carnage when Bangabandhu was killed along with most of his family members and several others.

The execution took place a day after Majed’s wife and four other relatives met him at the jail.

President Abdul Hamid rejected Majed’s mercy petition three days ago, clearing ways for his execution hours after Majed sought clemency as the last ditch efforts to save his neck.

Dhaka’s District and Sessions Judge’s Court earlier on that day issued Majed’s death warrant after confirming his identity as he was produced on the dock under heavy security escort under a special arrangement amid COVID-19 nationwide shutdown.

The same court with Golam Rasul being the judge issued the original judgment in 1998 which was validated later by the High Court and eventually by Supreme Court’s apex Appellate Division.

Home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal earlier said the “self confessed killer” was not only involved in Bangabandhu’s killing, but also took part in the subsequent brutal killing of the four national leaders inside the high security Dhaka Central Jail on November 3, 1975.

Majed was on the run for nearly two and half decades to evade justice and after his arrest he said he was hiding in India’s West Bengal for the past 23 years and returned to Bangladesh last month.

He was handed down the death penalty along with 12 other ex-military officers in 1998 and one of the six killers who were tried in absentia.

Five of the convicts were executed by now while one died a natural death as he was on the run abroad.

In a dramatic event a specialised police unit last week arrested Majed from near a shrine in the capital, after his return home for unknown reasons.

One of the prosecutors of Bangabandhu Murder Trial Mosharaf Hossain Kajol in late 1990s, recalled that Majed had joined the 1975 putsch as a junior officer of army’s the then lancer unit under Farook Rahman.

“Majed was a junior officer of the then lancer unit or tank regiment used
in committing the carnage under Farook,” he said.

Alongside staging the massacre at 32 Dhammondi, Kajol said, Majed particularly unleashed the attack at the residence of the then water resources minister Abdur Rab Serniabat killing him along with several family members.

Months later, he said, Majed took part in the clandestine killing of
the four national leaders inside high security Dhaka Central Jail on November 3, 1975 night just when a counter coup dislodged the mudrers from Bangabhaban.

The previously hanged convicts were Farook Rahman, sacked lieutenant colonel Sultan Shahriar Rashid Khan, AKM Mohiuddin Ahmed (artillery) and Mohiuddin Ahmed (lancer) and sacked major Bazlul Huda.

Another convict, sacked colonel Aziz Pasha, died a natural death in Zimbabwe while he was on the run.

Farook Rahman, Shahriar Rashid Khan, Mohiuddin Ahmed of artillery faced the trial in the judge court in person.

Huda was extradited from Thailald soon after the trial court delivered the judgment and years later and another convict Mohiuddin known as lancer Mohiuddin was sent back from the United States.
