"Balu Mahi is a 100% Pakistani movie," reveals Ainy Jaffri
The Ainy Jaffri and Osman Khalid Butt starrer is a big budget movie all set to release in 17 countries!

Seems like 2017 is the year for Ainy Jaffri, the year she’s going to make it real big! And as the Balu Mahi star let out in her interview with Fifi Haroon on BBC Urdu, she now has her very own stylists too… for the very first time! And why not? The film is big and the lead actress definitely deserves to look her best too.
What puts Balu Mahi on top of our watching list
Ainy has been busy with the promotions and screenings for Balu Mahi and talked about it relaying that the movie is a conventional one yet has all the masala for making it a hit. It’s a big budget movie all set to release in 17 countries and she's quite excited for the response.
"The cast and crew of Balu Mahi has left no stone unturned… we’ve tried to celebrate the beauty of our country. People asked me if we shot in Europe… but do you know the best part??? It’s all Pakistan! The scenic beauty all showcased in the movie is Pakistan! So yes, Balu Mahi is a 100% Pakistani movie!" Ainy told the listeners.
"Balu Mahi is not like any Bhansali movie," say Ainy Jaffri and Osman Khalid Butt
While talking to Fifi Haroon about the movie's storyline, Ainy stated that the movie has a very exciting plotline.
"Balu Mahi doesn’t have a bechari… Mahi is bold, Mahi is daring, Mahi handles her fate herself and if you put it in Osman’s words, Mahi is the hero of the movie. Balu Mahi is far away from all the rona dhona… it is very different. Yes, we have trials and tribulations but the characters have been defined to handle each situation heads on."
While Fifi Haroon mentioned Balu Mahi having similar stories as to few movies we’ve already watched, Ainy told the listeners that its execution is different from whatever has been seen on screens before.
Balu Mahi kept Ainy occupied for more than a year. Half of it was spent travelling outdoors. The cast and crew spent about six months out in the wilderness of the northern areas of Pakistan.
"We had to spend six months out there where there was nothing. Bathrooms were the nature… we managed. There were no cellphone network…. We still managed… because we were dedicated. Haissam has put so much into the movie… we could never let him down! I was away for a long time, from my husband and from the comforts of my home…. Since we’ve wrapped up everything and give it our best, I now plan to give a respectable amount of time at home as well," added Ainy.
Balu Mahi is all set to release on the 10th of February and that too in 17 countries all together. Ainy is excited, very nervous and feels pressurised too… the movie is her first attempt as a lead actress alongside the charming Osman Khalid Butt and Ainy feels her heart skipping a beat with every passing day.
Ainy is keen for quality over quantity and is focusing on one movie per year. If things go her way… we’re seeing this actress touching heights soon….
