The 1st Forum of Economists of the Turkic-speaking countries will be held in Baku in accordance with the decision of the Presidium of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).
The forum is expected to draw 100 scientists from 5 Turkic-speaking countries and 150 scientists from Azerbaijan.
The importance of holding the first forum comes from President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev`s call for deeper economic cooperation among the Turkish-speaking countries at the third Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking countries in Gabala in August.
The goal of the event is to analyze social and economic processes in the Turkic-speaking states, develop networking between economists and organize joint scientific and strategic researches, AzerTAc reports.
