Bahria Foundation will build a huge 20-30 km beach with huge resorts

KARACHI: The Bahria Foundation, a civilian welfare body of Pakistan Navy, is planning to launch a ‘cruise service’ with an aim to promote recreational activities in Pakistan.

“We have partnered with the local businessman who will purchase three passenger cruises for this purpose and the operation would be commenced by the end of December or sometime in January 2019,” said Bahria Foundation Deputy Managing Director Akbar Naqi. “In the initial phase, we are planning for an open sea journey, but after some time it could be extended up to Gwadar Port, as the foundation is also going to build a huge 20-30 kilometre beach with huge resorts to facilitate local and foreign tourists. These resorts will have a capacity to deal with thousands of people at a time.”

He said Pakistani and foreign tourists would be allowed five to ten kilometres journey of open sea so that they can spend their time on the ships with their families, friends and children. During the journey, he added, the naval cruise staff would provide all kinds of food facilities to the passengers including seafood and others dishes on their demand.

According to the foundation official, “The fare of cruise journey is yet to be determined but we are planning the lowest fare for the general public. The passengers of the cruise would be directly or indirectly under the supervision of the experienced Pakistan Navy staff,” he added

Riaz Malik is under trial and all projects under him should be stopped immediately until he is clear of the charges or has been punished and paid back the money.

You have your Bahria confused... But I do agree otherwise... Nobody should be above the law.

Not really several countries including US,China etc have wuch civilian bodies which generate case for welfare of veterans and their families.

The US has a special insurance company called USAA, as well. Its just for veterans and their families. Started by army officers.

These types of programs aren’t unknown to other countries. In Pakistan it’s just made a big deal for no reason. These are assets to a country.

I think it is job of govt navy should focus on defense and not waste its resources on such matters which should be done by govt otherwise why we are wasting money on govt ministries if their job is to be done by armed forces

I wonder how people come up with suggestion like DONT WASTE RESOURCES, dearss, First its BHAVRIA FOUDNATION, it has its own resources, which can be used for commenrcial activity for funds generation, so that Bahria Foundation can better serve its retired employees. I agree , Its not really an Unknown phenomenon, Even in Pakistan, Almost all of the Govt Institutions have their own foundations for the welfare of their employees nad most of these institutions engage in commercial activities to raise funds. We are just BAISED towards forces.
