it would be appropriate to think about jets, that BAF can afford or can get... Rafale, Typhoon, F 15, F 18 are beyond visual range for BAF..

6. Since logging hours is so very essential we ought to tie up with oil rich Malaysia and Indonesia for joint training at their location.

BD needs to have teeth in their armed forces , no one knows what is the future scenerio in the changing world .

The SU and the Mig 29/35 are the only real options available right now. Rafale and EFA are too expensive, f16/f18/j10b are not availabe and the gripen has too many strings attached. J17 has Pakistani linkage and the current AL gov is adverse to buying anything directly connected to Pakistan.

Its common knowledge in Dhaka that the SU 30 and the Mig 35 are the front runners to equip the BAF.

It is a close tie between J-20 and F-22, but I think Bangladesh will buy 2 squadrons of F-22 in exchange for 5,000,000 pairs of underwear.

you never know ... If AL stays in power.. india might give them there old SU's.. Now india don't feel any threat from Bangladeshi's because of there control on them.. Maintenance cost of Su-30 is comparable to EFT and Rafale, if not more.
