#BackOffIndia trends worldwide as Nepal citizens protest against India’s intervention

but its internal matter of of a sovereign country

Most of the Terai region where agitation is going borders Bihar and UP. There is a huge chance of refuge influx into India

yesterday i was thinking its abut Maoists but its not
Nepalis often claim darjeeling and sikkim as their territory. A state based on an ethnic group (like afghanistan and nepal or Bangladesh) always want people of their ethnic group to be within their territory. Other states based on religion want all adherents of religion to be in their state-like the Pakistani view of kashmir.

its not that much bad situation these are just riots not civil war janab and then india can say something on a platform like saarc or UN not directly involved

OK we tried to help what we got in return ? Go back Indian Army? China still got closer to them . I say fk them and w8 for them to get to their senses , right now we can't say anything to their govt without them making it an issue, Heck even our media is better than them.

They'll never get those sense man... China would pour money in Nepal,... Keeping gov happy.. craeting new jobs would keep the people fav to chinese...Just like they did in Lanka.. India should try to cooperate with them and make some minor changes in the constitution.... By catching the Nepalese neck we gain nothing...

Their are other ways to gain control

Fu(K the people, you just need the government under your boot.
BTW we need to end friendship treaty with Nepal and kick these Basturds out, who knows they might start demanding statehood for Nepali speaking people of India.
Mamta had to kill a lot of people discretely to shut down the previous agitations by these Nepali scums in WB

#BackOffIndia trends worldwide as Nepal citizens protest against India’s intervention
by FP Staff Sep 22, 2015 14:59 IST

  • occasion was marred by protests, violence and even death as the Madhesi groups clashed against the constitution over the issue of federating the country. Violence surrounding the federal structure that will divide the country into seven provinces has triggered violence in the Himalayan nation, claiming at least 40 lives including one reported on Sunday.

Expressing concern over the ongoing violence, neighboring country India intervened urging top Nepalese leadership to address concerns of all sides and sending Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar as Prime Minister Narendra Modi's special envoy.

Jaishankar issued this statement following his visit, “India has been strongly supportive of constitution making in Nepal. We would like its completion to be an occasion for joy and satisfaction, not agitation and violence. We hope that Nepal's political leaders will display the necessary flexibility and maturity at this crucial time to ensure a durable and resilient Constitution that has broad-based acceptance."

As Rajeev Sharma pointed out in a Firstpost article, India has reasons to be perturbed about the volatile situation in Nepal. The main crux of the problem from the Indian viewpoint is that the Madhesis have reacted violently to their country’s new constitution. Madhesis, along with the Tharus, form the bulk of population of Terai. The Terai region constitutes one-fifth of Nepal’s landmass, but accounts for over half of the nation's population, is what the article said.

However, India's role in this matter has not been taken very kindly by Nepali citizens, with many of them expressing their sentiments on social media with #BackoffIndia. On Tuesday, #BackoffIndia was trending in Nepal and soon this trend worldwide with several people joining in the online protest globally.

From criticising the interference in Nepal to talking about the crime and other problems in India, the users on Twitter were harsh and critical about the government. It should be noted that several Indians also joined in pointing out the administrations' flaws with the trending hashtag. Here is what some of them had to say

This isn't the first time that Twitter in Nepal has seen a trend protesting against India. Earlier this year, when the devastating earthquake hit Nepal and Indian aid and media rushed in the Himalayan country, there was widespread animosity about the media interference. There was a time when #GoHomeIndianMedia was trending on Twitter, first in Nepal and then worldwide.

#BackOffIndia trend is not against Indian people, it's against Indian policy, it's against Indian interference!!

Now another country went into gold of seculars. Unlike India this country will destroy itself before it even get stable. Nepal now taken over by seculars who want Islam as state policy. God save this country. If India really want to enforce some things this nation could have been like Syria. China playing huge role in creating this reckless. This midget nationwide even be our strategic assert.
