Baba Ramdev may launch political party

Yoga guru Baba Ramdev plans to launch his own party though he says he won't fight elections. Baba Ramdev said he wants to 'cleanse' the system. The yoga guru would field candidates in all Lok Sabha constituencies.

Ramdev, who was in Ghaziabad on March 15th to participate in a school function, targeted the UPA government for not keeping the prices of essential commodities in check and alleged: "The intention of the government is very much doubtful towards poors and farmers".

"No doubt Manmohan Singh is a good economist and he understands perfectly the growth rate, but he does not understand the economics of Dal-Roti (cereals and bread)," he told reporters.

He said common men eats bread and not the growth rate, which has no role in the life of those who live below poverty line.

The yoga guru said that he will field candidates in the 2014 general elections but not yet decided on his own candidature. He advocated reforms in the administrative system of the country.

Ramdev has already launched Bharat Swabhiman campaign with an aim to end corrupt practices, bring back the Indian black money and use it for the development of the nation besides changing the system that has been continuing since the British period, among others

all types of people are free in a democracy to do anything they want under the limits of constitution.

If several Mullas/Maulanas can have political party in Pakistan Jamaat E Islami etc.

Or even in India there are many political party of Maulanas so let him do what he wants.

But don't post such post in India defense section.

It only proves your over obsession nothing else.

Interesting article , Yoga Party , at least we know it will have alot of calmn headed people relaxed ones that can solve problems with dialog I like the sound of it

Politics and defence need more people like yoga leader because they can think rationally

Also Yoga is beneficial to health , I mean its great for diplomacy

It is related to Indian politics.

There are many other such threads started by Indians themselves in the same section. The Social issues section is said to be for Pakistani issues as per Asim so i dont know if you want it in the World Affairs section of Members cafe

if he is only concerned with the section then we can move it to some other

If i am not wrong this is the same Swami jee who come in UK every year to teach Yoga. He charge a very price for that and many English peoples takes Yoga classes from him.

Oh well i believe these Maulvi's, Swami's and Priests should stay away from politics as long as they are not capable enough of doing their jobs properly. I mean having a support from peoples is different thing and running your country is another thing. If this baba jee ever becomes the politician and win elections i am sure India's Growth rate will start sliding too. He is expert in Yoga or about his religion and not a politician
