Australian iron ore supplier embraces Chinese market with yuan settlement

. .
BHP? That is the largest mining group in the world.

It seems that the new Australian govt has deeply reflected on the mistakes of its predecessor. That is a good start.

Did any of you realise this article is 2 years old??

The article mentioned by Global Time "Vittoria" docked in Shandong back in 2020.....MSC Vittoria currently in Italy

And no, BHP no longer settle with Yuan, they done that because back in 2020 Chinese has "Unofficially" banned Iron Ore and IIRC that contract is for 14 millions dollar worth of Iron Ore...

Australian iron ore supplier embraces Chinese market with yuan settlement
By Global TimesPublished: Jul 11, 2022 10:14 PM

Hesteel Group, another leading steel mill, said on an investors' platform of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange that the company has been using the yuan for settlements with all of the world's three biggest iron ore suppliers -- Rio Tinto, BHP and Vale -- since October 2020.

I know u r the number one cheerleader for USA. The reality of BHP settle payment in Yuan must have upset u alot that u need to deceive others to ease your pain.

Prepare for uncle sam to bring freedom and democracy with B-52 bomber for Australia. :enjoy:

Are you for real??

This is a screen cap from the Global Times article Written on July 11 2022.

If you care to look at 2 things, you will know it is talking about stuff that happened in the past. Not now,

Number 1.) - THE FIRST TIME BHP settle Iron Ore with Yuan is May 12, 2020, according to this Reuter Article

BHP1.jpg

The world’s top listed miner BHP Group said on Tuesday it had made its first yuan-denominated sale of iron ore to China Baoshan Iron & Steel Co Ltd, known as Baosteel, and would explore using blockchain for such transactions in future.

So if they (BHP) did use Yuan to settle their iron ore again, it WOULD NOT BE THE FIRST TIME.

Number 2. The ship the Global Times Article mentioned MSC Vittoria is currently docked in Italy as of July 12, 2022. I don't care how fast you can go, you can't go from China to Italy in 2 days if they were docked in China last Sunday (July 10)

In effect, the Global Times talking about an incident did not happened in 2022, as the ship in question is currently in Italy. The article may have been written by Global Time yesterday, but this is IN NO WAY can happen in the last week. If you look at what Global Times said, you can see they are describing an event happened in 2020.

Nobody care about one vessel or not. The main point is Australia BHP and Rio Tinto settle Chinese payment in Yuan even until now. Are u going to deny this?

BHP stop using Yuan to settle with Iron ore since 2020. This is not about deny or what.

They did it back in 2020, and no longer doing it now.

So what's your point??

Self denial is good for you but not for us.

Show me where BHP is "STILL" paying Yuan with Iron Ore order? Otherwise I will call you Bullshit

That is the entire god damn point of why I said this Global Times article is talking about stuff happened 2 years ago.

Even in your dumbass reference it said Baowu steel Group hope to have 10% of account settle with Yuan.

China Baowu Steel Group, the country's largest steelmaker, recently told investors that about 6% of the company's 2021 iron ore purchases abroad were settled in yuan. The company aims to expand that to 10% in 2022.

I have professional media called caixin and Asia Nikki back this article. You shall be the one to debunk it instead of BS here.

Hesteel Group, another leading steel mill, also comfirm settle payment with Australia counterpart in rmb since 2020 until now. Who r u to deny it?
