ATC orders arrest of Khadim Hussain Rizvi, Afzal Qadri for continuous no-show

ISLAMABAD: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) ordered on Monday the arrest of Tehreek-e-Labbaik leader Khadim Hussain Rizvi and Afzal Qadri in the Faizabad sit-in case.

During proceedings of the case, the ATC directed that Rizvi and Qadri be arrested and presented in court on April 4.

Workers of a religious party had protested against the government at Faizabad Interchange of Islamabad for around three weeks in November last year, bringing the capital to a standstill.

On March 5, the ATC had declared Rizvi, Qadri, Maulana Inayat and Shekih Izhar as absconders in the case for failing to appear before the court after repeated summons.

The ATC also stated that if the accused were not produced in court within the next 30 days, they would be declared proclaimed offenders.

The religious party had protested against an amendment in the Elections Act, 2017, which was later reversed by the government, and ended its protest after an agreement was reached with the government, which included the resignation of Law Minister Zahid Hamid.

The Supreme Court had also taken notice of the protest and the subsequent agreement and heard the case today, dismissing an intelligence agency's report over Rizvi's source of funding.

Penn di siri have protection not Oper Wala but opper walle

Last time ISI advised Govt not to take panga with pan di siri since he is capable to do pan di siri of whole country over such issue later Govt beg from army to care of pan di siri and you know how they manage to stop him....they paid him...

Now supreme court want to pan di siri of this pan di siri by putting gun on ISI shoulder but they are smart enough and sibmitted a report which even can be prepared by sheeda chaye wala since they knew people of Pakistan can do pan di siri of anyone over religious issues ...so never touch these pan di sireez until our nation get more educated and tolerant.

The law of the land is a victim of abuse by the powerful in Pakistan. This Khadim thingy seems to be above the law of the land. Another mullah is Tahir Qadri. He is also absconder but regularly comes to Pakistan and the law cannot act against him. Then another idiot IK has committed grave crimes but law feels ashamed touching him. Musharraf broke our national constitution twice and is an absconder. He forced the law, the courts, and the government by flying out of country on flimsy excuse (of back pain - I don't know exactly where is the pain in his back though but he's been reported dancing after fleeing the country.) One thing is shared by all these criminals: the boot seems to be protecting the as$ of all these idiots.
