At least seven people were wounded during a clash between the Afghan and Pakistani tribesmen along the Line of Durand, it has been reported.
Official sources have confirmed to The News media outlet that the clash took place between tribesmen of Sulimankhel of Pakisstan and Kharoti tribe of Afghanistan.
The sources further added that the clash took place in Zarmaila area in Toykhula tehsil near Durand Line in South Waziristan district.
The clash reportedly broke out after members of Kharoti tribe took up positions at a hilltop in Zarmailan area and started firing at the local population on the Pakistani side.
In retaliation, a lashkar of Sulimankhel tribe attacked and repulsed them, the reports said, claiming that the Kharoti tribe left behind weapons and ammunition and retreated.
The district administration also confirmed the incident and said that a team had been sent to the area to take stock of the situation as it was a far-flung area, The News reported.
