The main issue is their handlers are having disagreements, unless they all patch up their differences we will see more violence. Sounds very frightening, but Daesh will struggle to become a major threat due to Taliban being against them, unless TTP and other militants swear allegiance to daesh. Daesh is strong in Afghanistan’s north and non Pashtun areas as well as the province of Nangarhar. Kunar is Salafi stronghold and most of the Taliban there are Salafis. TTP it set is umbrella org and many factions of it are Salafis. ISKP was made out of a TTP faction. As of right now a significant chunk probably around 30%+ of TTP is probably more aligned to ISKP in nature and ideology than it is to IEA. Even of Haqqani network when originally ISIS requested fighters worldwide Haqqani network sent them and those commanders later helped bring ISKP to the region and joined them while some were not Salafis. ISKP can pretty easily recruit from LeJ and maybe LeT and many have already joined ISKP. ISKP is dangerous because they know what to play when and where and how to play it. They could use deobandi as an excuse to fight Taliban in Afghanistan while using democracy to recruit deobandis in Pakistan. They are masters of deception and propaganda.
