Astronaut Sunita accepts Islam

Sunita Williams, a US astronaut of Indian origin, who returned to the earth recently after197 days' stay on space station along with her other four crew members, has accepted Islam, according to unconfirmed sources.

Though her embracing Islam has not been officially declared, she and her fellow astronauts were astonished at Holy Kaaba and Masjid-e-Nabubi glowing in the dark.

Sources said, while taking photographs of earth from the spacecraft with the help of powerful telescope they found the complete earth dark except two places - Makkah and Madinah, two famous sites dear to the Muslims.

Sources added that the pictures they took from satellite are very interesting.

Seriously whatz wrong with you. This information is good in a spiritual / religious forum. I am not sure how the conversion of an Indian origin woman has got anything to do with Indian Defence. Does it surprise you that an Indian got converted to Islam or is the unconfirmed story of the glow you thought that was relevant to this forum?

Alhamdullilah so many personalities/celebreties finally accept Islam before they die. It is really good and about the glowing of Makkah and Madina Indeed Allah shows his miracles to its mankind

i highly doubt that 'glowing mecca/medina' story provided on can show the actual image depicting the same.

of course islam is a great religion and like all the other religions its a path to reach the ultimate truth and they themselves cant be the truth as there is just one truth and religions re so many.

Being an indian is wht matters, she is a great indian , we r proud of her..

Since hindu and muslim are two brothers in india it hardly matters to us if she is happy with hinuism or islam both have same goal - live a prosperous and good human life.

Wait, whats so unusual about Mecca and Medina being lit up in the dark? These two holy places have uninterrupted power supply and they are in the middle of a desert. So it makes perfect sense that they will be prominently seen from space in their surrounding darkness.

And about Ms Williams converting to Islam, I think a proper source is needed. 'Unconfirmed sources' from a questionable source?

She is of Indian origin and not an Indian. Her dad is Indian but mom is not. Of course we can be proud of her but still that doesn't make her Indian. She is an American woman of Indian origin.

I have a video of the event I attended(around 300 MB). Give me some time I will upload it somewhere and post it here. It is absolutely awesome. She also showed lots of footage of the space station.
