Ashraf Ghani calls General Raheel re Kabul episode

.
Yesterday it was Kabul, sometime ago it was Bacha Khan University Peshawar.
Should we be doing this until perpetuity . Good Talis, Bad Talis are not making distinction among us though.

Something to think about, change of course needed on both side of the leadership to address these challenges

Initial intelligence suggests attack on #AUAF was orchestrated from Pakistan & @ashrafghani called Gen. Raheel during security meeting today

Gen. Raheel promised to look into it and take action:

It is much easier for Afghanistan to change course -- Look to Turkey and not India -- had Afghanistan had the foresight to do this in 2001 -- so many lives would have been spared.

The Jurnails had been reformed somewhat in the early 2000s until they saw all the love for India blossoming -- for a while I think they were shell shocked -- but now it maybe too late. Jurnails are known for target-fixation. But in the end the Afghans have brought this upon themselves.

. .
Please Afghanistan, could you take action against TTP hiding in Afghani border areas, the monster fazallulah who is sheltering in Afghanistan and is responsible for attacks on APS and Bacha khan university.

Interesting observations in there... Prez did not even find it worth to call Govt.

. .
It is better Ashraf Ghani should sit in pak and run afghanistan from here.

True

What is interesting about the two tragedies of AUAF and APS is that both attacks were attacks on the children of the elites of Pakistan and Afghanistan.

APS were the children of middle and low ranked Pakistani Military personal -- some of who would go one to become Generals.

AUAF was an attack on the children of the political elite and intellectual elite of Afghanistan.

I wonder if this war is entering a more visceral stage.

Instead of this 'jurnail' shit, please be respectful of Pakistan Armed Forces. My own cousin is in a high rank and gives no shits about Afghanistan.

forgive me but I don't really respect the Jurnails -- nothing against your cousin or them as individuals -- more from a competence of the Pakistani General Staff -- which arguably is not much.

Lets see what ISPR has to say about the call, can't really believe what Mr Ghani says.
Pakistan did its best to bring everyone on table but at a very critical time it was Afghan NDS and their supporters that spoiled the peace. It is Ghani administration, NDS or ANA that supports TTP and mullah radio, it's ANA which instead of supporting entry control across the Pakistan Afghanistan border attacked Torkham check post. If the mercenaries keep moving freely across the border, rest assure we'll keep witnessing these sad incident. Still there is time for Afghanistan to look into its policies and fine tune them to the best interest of region instead of pleasing any of its immediate or next neighbor. One thing must be kept in mind that peaceful Afghanistan = peaceful Pakistan therefore, both countries need to sit together and find solutions to their problems without any external interference.

Since when middle and low ranked military personnel form part of elite. Anyways it was not only children of military personnel, there was majority of civilian children.

ISPR has already mentioned that an operation was launched based on the intelligence provided by the Afghan side.
The same thing happened when the APS episode happened, one of the master minds was apprehended in the same week while the major mastermind was taken out after Ashraf Ghani gave the go ahead.

And you are spot on, hope we come to our senses sooner.

An operation was planned, launched in a span of a few hours, deep in hostile territory from a phone call for AG to GHQ?

I think even the US Navy SEALS cannot do that.

No PR300/2016-ISPR
Rawalpindi - August 25, 2016:
COAS had a tele-conversation with Afghan President today. During the conversation, Army Chief strongly condemned terrorists’ attack on American University of Afghan in Kabul yesterday and expressed his sympathies with the bereaved families. COAS said that Pakistani soil would not be allowed to be used for any type of terrorism in Afghanistan. Afghan authorities have shared 3 mobile telephone numbers allegedly used during the University attack who allegedly were on contact with the attackers.

It may be mentioned here that based on these 3 Afghan cell numbers provided by Afghan authorities, Pakistan Army carried out a combing operation in suspected area closer to Pak-Afghan border to verify presence of miscreants. Our evaluation of the evidence provided and outcome of Combing op so far, has shown that all Afghan SIMs used during the attack were from a network owned and operated by Afghan company whose spill over signal affects some areas along Pak-Afghan border. Outcome of the op so far has been shared with afghan authorities. Further Technical evaluation of the cell numbers (all Afghan) is being carried out. COAS assured Afghan President of all out cooperation on availability of further information from Afghans.

This is what ISPR said
It time once Afghanistan should control its telecommunications companies to limit there signals within their territory so that their subscribers either shouldn't be able to use their phones from Pakistan or come on Pakistani networks as roaming users.
