As Russian submarine ship docks in Pakistan, India calls it normal
NEW DELHI: Russian Navy’s large anti-submarine ship Severmorsk arrived in Pakistan on Thursday for participation in the Aman 2017 international naval exercises, Indian reports said quoting Xinhua.

This is the second time within six months that Russia and Pakistan are holding joint military exercises and Indian officials appeared to see it as a normal event, Indian Express said.

The ship, that set off from Oman’s port of Salalah, will take part in the naval exercises scheduled on Friday in the waters of the Arabian Sea and at the Pakistan Navy base located at the Karachi port. Navies from Australia, China, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Maldives, Russia, Sri Lanka, Turkey, United Kingdom and United States are participating in the joint exercise.

The Indian Navy, unmoved by India’s current political doctrine of isolating Pakistan, downplayed apprehensions over the naval exercises, reports said, terming it as a “normal maritime activity” every nation was entitled to.

“This is an exercise hosted by Pakistanis once in two years. And 16 nations are taking part in it. It is a normal maritime activity any nation is entitled to,” Sunil Lanba, Chief of Naval Staff, told reporters at the sidelines of a conference organised by the National Maritime Foundation, according to Press Trust of India.

A senior US naval officer was recently quoted as saying in India that it was routine for American and Indian navies to jointly track Chinese submarines in the Arabian Sea region.

Well, first of all it's not sub-marine. It is Russian Navy’s large anti-submarine ship Severmorsk. (Please change the title of this thread) But it is still very significant development. Indians have a cry-baby psyche. They keep crying but now no one in world cares. So it's normal for them now. But the event (i.e. the arrival of Russian anti-submarine ship at Karachi) itself is not that normal. It's a first. I think Indians now have started realizing their worth (or worthlessness, saying it more realistically). In recent past, they were talking big non-sense regarding isolating Pakistan but rather got humiliated by world leaders right in their own capital New Delhi. It was a big slap on Modi's face.
I think when the Russian soldiers arrived after the last "usual fiasco" Modi was given a rude awakening. So, Russians are having their interests served leveraging both Pak and Indian connections. Nothing surprising in such geopolitics...

Bhartis can only think they can cut relations of Pakistan with any other country
They have created an unnecessary hype due to their obsession and extreme hate

First of all it is a Russian anti-sub ship & not a sub.

Anyways I completely agree with Navy Chief.
The fact that Chinese, US, Russian & Australian Navy are participating in the same event is proof that this is nothing other than useless formal maritime activity.

Just last year Chinese Navy also participated in Indian Navy International Fleet Review and PASSEX-2016 Exercise along with US, Russia and many others.

Similarly Indian Navy also participated in a multi-national Naval exercise held by China recently:
