The PA was relying on funds to support the purchase, with the support funds suspended the deal is on the shelf for the time being. Pakistan has not spent it's own funds to purchase the helicopters.

theres a saying that best describes America here goes like this once bitten twice shy-

Thank the almighty we didn’t have the funds to pay for these helicopters. Otherwise we be looking at another f16 Soya beans Saga

Difficult to buy western made alternatives like euro copter or others all prone to America influences. Sanctions

Though in reality for every dollar spent on military operations (deployment, fuel, loses) Pakistan barely got 50 cents back

They ain't here yet but the Army wants them still so the game is still on! Waiting for the MBS $20B money to come in I guess!

We should only hand over money after delivery as we have seen before the mistake of handing over money first.

I guess the Army wants a 'heavy' attack helicopter instead of just expanding on the 6t ATAK. But it'd be interesting to see how long this can drag out; the Italian-Polish AW249 and rumoured Chinese Apache-class will come alive in a few years.
