ARY News becomes most-watched South Asian channel in UAE

DUBAI/KARACHI: The journey to glory of ARY News continues as it outshone even Indian channels to become the most-watched South Asian channel in United Arab Emirates (UAE), according to a Dubai-based telecom operator “du”.

The du report ranks ARY News at number one by a wide margin, with second and third slots secured by Indian entertainment channels.Interestingly, ARY News also retains the second slot among local channels. The news bulletin, programs ‘POWERPLAY’ and ‘Live With Dr. Shahid Masood’ happen to be quite popular with UAE viewers.

The channel maintained 51 percent viewers in April, according to du report, while it has doubled the reach as that of Abu Dhabi TV and 38 percent more than that of Dubai Al Oula.

It could be because ARY is the only channel not supporting the government and maximum anchors talk about corrupt politicians. People living in UAE or in any other country love their homeland and they hope to get rid of sick politician and ARY keeps their hopes alive..

Interesting part is that even with 26% Indian expats as compared to just 13% Pakistani expats, ARY clinched the distinction. I mainly support ARY bcz they are kicking B..t of Jew news and countering their propaganda quite well. Good luck ARY.

GCC is flooded with Indian channels as one can easily get Dish Tv, Air Tel etc in any GCC country. Moreover there are also free Indian Channels both on Aisa Set and Nile Set. Also OSN and likes of others provide multiple choices for all viewers. In totality there are n number of channels in comparison of Pakistani Channels. Yes divide is there but in more titled towards Indians expats from Kerala in some countries. But just look at 26% Indians population out of total just in UAE. Thats really huge a number.

Ary has very good programs that are popular among anyone that can speak Urdu.

Many wnt beleive but QTV being run by ARY is also quite popular among Muslim Indian/Bangladeshi expats in GCC.

Survey does not give a clear pictures.. most of the Indian community using DISH channles..which is illegal. but still available. these numbers does not count in DU survey..

I don't think there is any Pak vs Ind issue, the point is that only channel which is speaking against Pakistani government is being listen, watched and appreciated by Pakistanis within Pakistan and abroad.
