lets make one thing clear, Hyderabad had a mix of Hindu and Muslim population and muslim razakars were going violent against Hindus so much so that Hindu majority areas such as Aurangabad were deserted and muslims were flocking to the state from all over.
Hyderabad going to Pakistan would create problems as it ran right across Indian peninsula and would divide the country in half.
Regarding J&K what enraged Sardar Patel the most is Jinnah's acceptance of accession by Junagarh which had hindu majority but with muslim ruler (Didn't Jinnah develop 2 nation theory on basis of religion? Why did he accept hindu majority state?)
This acceptance made him believe that if Jinnah can take a muslim ruled state with Hindu majority, he can take a muslim majority state with Hindu ruler.
However we know this is not how things in J&K panned out as Pakistan acted impatiently.

We are not fools to make kashmir an internal matter ..We can't leave matters unresolved especially when our territory is not fully in our control ..As far as article 370 is concerned we never asked anybody's permission when we imposed it and naturally we don't need one to remove it..

Better you read some authentic books on Hyderabad. Can you tell us who was instigating the Muslim-Hindu riots there from Delhi? It was Pundit Nehru and his Congress Party. Nehru needed a good excuse to take over Hyderabad and he created excuses through his proxies who were well-known as the most trustworthy right hands of Nizam. Nehru made the Hindus victim to get support from the public.

A human lifetime is too small for us to see such things. Only in historical context can one see that power doesn't stay in one corner of the world in just a few hands forever...
...but those who have power(at that moment in time) get carried away...it goes to their head. They start doing whatever they please...to try and maintain the status quo. They oppose and suppress often times violently any who opposes or questions them. Yet still power shifts hands. Let them enjoy this temporary power...today they r blinding, raping, killing Kashmiris just bcuz they can while Kashmiris are helpless...and they justify it as "necessary for national security". Tomorrow someone will do that to their descendants and justify it all the same.
