The army only has aircrafts for recon and utility right now. All the troop transport aircrafts are with BAF. Isnt it the job of our air force to provide air lift to our army?? Or is the army trying to build its own mini air force, cos they are going to operate LY-60D SAMs instead of BAF.

ANyway, i hope the army goes for troop transport aircraft, cos currently we only have seven right now. As for the helicopter its gonna be most probably an eurocopter dauphin or a helicopter based on that design.

Off-topic: Bangladesh won Oman in hockey to lift the AHF cup. 6-3 was the final score

Bangladesh should either go for C-130J OR Y-8 [Y-9] upgraded variant similar being used by Pak as AEW&C Platform.

The reason for Y-8/Y-9 is IF tomorrow Bangladesh goes for AEW&C Platform which would be the requirement for any modern Air Force. Y-8/Y-9 would be a choice as it would from point of view of platform similarity, sync and from maintenance point of view for BAF/Army Y-8 infact Y-9 that would replace Y-8 Transports in the future; fits the role perfect and is less costly than C-130J but carries 25 Ton of cargo and or 104-106 Troops in transport role. Apart from that the future of Y-9 is also bright because Y-9 is already being going under Trials as images suggests configured for MPA [Maritime Patrol Aircraft] Thus the MPA/AEW&C/Transport all would be in Sync and similar platforms making it easier for engineering ground crew.
