ALLAHABAD: Army Educational Corps celebrated its 67th raising day in the Red Eagle Division, Old Cantonment, here on Saturday.The corps plays a pivotal role in meeting aspirations of serving soldiers of the Indian Army in various aspects such as higher education, map reading, foreign language courses, personality development programmes and military music training.To commemorate the occasion, a Hindi and English Essay competition was organized on the eve of the Raising Day for all troops of Old Cantonment.
The General Officer commanding, Red Eagle Division, was the chief guest. A get-together was organized at headquarters of the Red Eagle Division on Saturday in which all officers, junior commissioned officers and other ranks of the division were present. tnn
