Salam,
What is the salary of a captain in the Pakistan army?
I am asking with reference to doctors. As they they get the rank of Captain.
Do they get any benefits etc?
Is it a good option to choose considering that in public sector doctors get 50k for there house jobs?

I mean we have to sign a bond for 13 years of service.

What rank can they reach over time?
Can I join army if I dont go to NUST?
How long is the training period? And how hard is it?

I hope for some good answers!!

.
My ancestors were doctors in the British army and as well as in the Pakistani army. I'm not sure about the salary but what i know is that they were very very respected.

I am becoming a doctor currently in Canada and so i also imagine myself serving in the Pak army somewhere around in the future. I also need information. Do they accept a foreign degree?

First thing would be to think why you want to be an Army Doctor and if you are prepared for the dificulties that can entail.
If your main worry is the pay become a Radiologist work normal hours for good pay and have a nice peacefull life.
If you want to be a Surgeon in the Army be prepared for long hours in difficult some times dangerous circumstances you might never get rich but you can end each day knowing you made a difference.

I have a relative who is a radiologist here and he is making around $800,000, driving porsche, etc. Money is not the issue. its about serving the country. I sometimes think what i would do with money. Clearly i'm not really materialistic. I want to do something for the betterment of my country instead. Helping the poor and needy with money won't really make a difference.

Already so much humanitarian aid is given world wide but it does not actually bring change into the class system. helping someone physically, i.e with free health care and free medicine will make a good change. Political change is hard now days. Already, there are corrupt leaders next in line after Zardari. In fact, i don't believe Imran Khan would do much if he comes to power.

'Money can never replace life'. This quote is very important...

So the thing is my personal help for others will do the the job. Its not really like I become a doctor in 2-3 years from now and then i go straight back to Pakistan. My initial plan rather is to build myself up to the level where I am accepted or qualified first then off for the army plan. Army is important to me because i want to stand where my ancestors were. I have great pride. In army, its not just the soldiers who get medical help. They are sometimes sent off to flood hit areas or poor villages to help.

This is why i need information in this thread. Maybe there is an age limit or maybe a foreign degree is not accepted.

Appologies cb4 i wasnt clear in my reply in that it was in reference to the OP's question.

Yes very another you may already know that is a favorite of mine along the same line.

Let the surgeon take care to regulate the whole regimen of the patient's life for joy and happiness .. by allowing his relatives and special friends to cheer him and by having someone tell him jokes,

Salam,

What is the salary of a doctor captain in the Pakistan army? farhan_9909 said that its 70-80k but some other posts in this site say that its around 20-30k.
What benefits do they get?
Is it a good option compared to public/private sector?
Serving the country is one thing but I mean we have to sign a bond for 13 years of service.
What is the system of promotion?
