Argentina to invade Falklands after 30th anniversary furore dies down

. .
what will they fight with they dont even have a proper airforce or navy

Too bad those Brits don't take Gandhi's philosophy seriously when it came to the Falklands. :coffee:

Well, if you read your history (as you sip more of that coffee), you will know that Argentina invaded first. Britain's response was purely defensive. The end result, was, of course, to their favor.

I suggest you read more into history, son.

South America is more stronger & unified now than in 1982.. & britain is not ruled by a Maggie Thatcher either. So things are not going to be as simple as it was during first falklands war, should a war break out now!!

There is no way in hell Argentina can pull this off. Not now, not in a few years.

In fact now is a good time, in a few years Royal Navy will have atleast 1 if not 2 new carriers with F-35's, more type 45 destroyers.....

Still it is going to be extremely difficult for Argentina. They have few Su-29s and Mirages. Apart form that Argentina's airforce is weak. And Navy has couple of submarines and some ships. If Britain can get some Typhoons to the island and more marines in anticipation, Argentina does not stand a chance. The only chance for Argentina is an attack without warning as Falklands has only a company of British forces. That too, not sure how long they can retain Falklands once Britain regroups.
