Language is more related to culture than religion. There are 54 Muslim countries and each are quite different from the other. Language tells more about culture than religion. Pakistani Punjabi and Sindhis are closer to North Indians culturally than are Balochs or Puktoons, in the same way as North Indians are culturally different from Tamilians or Assamese
So who are you?
If you are from this land than you are related to North Indians, If you outsiders who invaded India than either you are Arabs or Persians or Central asians
For your information this is Jan 29/ 2015 not 1946. We are Pakistanis not indians. And please look at the world map, we have a border between india and Pakistan. We are not the same country, our people are different if you still insist that we looks like indian then i am afraid you are just born yesterday and you dont have any info regarding our country. So who are you?

New Recruit
Its true though. Since I have lived in the US i have met many people from many cultures and I findMany or all in Pakistan knows this , but few, you being one, have the guts to accept this..
How can one disown ones mother..??? and WHY ???
I come from a sunni mahajir family from Karachi. I know my ancestors were from UP in india. Never been there myself.i have a feeling this guy is indian...
P.S: Please share your ethnic background.. coz apart from you none of us are confused about our origin!
Punjabis (everyone living in Punjab is a Punjabi and Pak Punjab is as diverse as America when it comes to ethnicities etc... but all have assimilated and same goes for Sindh... where Sindhis of Baluch origin are leading Sindhi Nationalist Parties and so on)... we Pak share much more similiarities between eachother... than say a Lahori shares with someone from northern indian state like UP.
Try not to lie.
Would you like the inches upon inches of columns in Pakistani papers about Pakistani identity crisis(because origin here is mentioned in the context of identity) ??
Our ancestors were monkeys as per Charles darwin, so why not we all act like one. You are too stupid to understand that we are Pakistanis and muslim regardless of what religion our ancestors had.Its interesting if you look at our ancestors who were hindus but they got along well until the arabs came and started converting some to muslims. Now we dont belong anywhere. We arent hindus (even though our language, culture and values are) but we never fit in with the Arabs either since they think we are "Low Class" and not good enough to be a part of their society.

Language has evolved to communicate between same people. I don't know but I feel puktoons are quite different from Punjabi in their look and culture etc..
So you are a UP wala ... are you confused about your identity? Its true though. Since I have lived in the US i have met many people from many cultures and I find

Awan.
Some Pakistanis might be confused about their identity just like many Indians think their ancestors were Vikings.
I was born in Pakistan in the city of Karachi. I lived there till I was 17 until I moved to the US in 2000. I was raised in a moderate sunni muslim family. After moving to the US and visiting Saudi Arabia and UAE I realized that most arabs think of desis as low class laborers and never give our people equal rights in their countries (for example you cant get their citizenship even if you are born there nor can you marry one of their women). If you look at our desi culture you will find that we have a lot more in common with indian hindu culture than we do with the Arabs (even though we practice their faith). The point im trying im trying to make is that we arent accepted by the Arabs as one of them despite sharing the same religion but we arent hindu either. So where do we truly belong?
Yes...but you seem confused we are discussing culture not nationality. Yes..I am an Indian and you a Pakistani
Do you even know about the different people who live in Punjab? and have all assimilated .. yet take pride in their origin ?
Have you ever heard of a Punjabi of bengali origin in indian punjab? (the state which considers itself superior to other indians .. where "bhaiyas" from alleged "north indian states" are looked down upon and treated like crap? I bet you havent.
In Pak Punjab.. a Punjabi Baluch,Punjabi Pashtun or a Punjabi speaking Qazalbash isnt surprising...
So you are a UP wala ... are you confused about your identity?
Indians here wont even know what "Awan" is or what their origin is? yet they know more abt Pak than Pakistanis..
Face Palm.Bengali are different from north Indians. I know what you are talking about. India itself is hugely diverse. Even in India there is a huge assimilation taking place, but at the same time a tamilian is easily identified among a group of North Indians.
