Arab League Denounces Turkish Statements on Relocating US Embassy to Jerusalem

Arab League spokesman Mahmoud Afifi denounced on Saturday Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu’s recent statements about the US relocating its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.

The minister had stated from Istanbul that there was a “decline and hesitation” within the Muslim world, especially within the Arab League, regarding the decision to relocate the US Embassy to occupied Jerusalem.

“We need to take a common stance against this wrong decision. We are seeing some hesitance within the Arab League recently, which is a mistake,” Cavusoglu stated.

Afifi expressed regret at the Turkish minister’s “insistence on negatively targeting the Arab League.”

The statements once again raise real questions about Turkey’s real stance on the regional Arab system, which the Arab League reflects, especially in wake of Turkey’s intervention in Arab territories, which was recently condemned by the Arab Summit in Dhahran, he said.

“Those issuing belligerent statements on the Palestinian cause should have first followed up the matters in a more balanced way to recognize the intense efforts made by the Arab League and its member states,” Afifi added.

He added that these efforts have been ongoing since the extraordinary ministerial meeting of the Council of the Arab League, which was held in December in wake of the US administration’s announcement that it was relocating its embassy.

At the end of his statement, Afifi noted that “such Turkish statements certainly do not serve the goal of establishing normal relations between the Arab League and Turkey during this stage.”

Cavusoglu had criticized on Saturday the US move on Jerusalem, saying it was wrong and that Ankara will continue to defend the Palestinian cause.

They have responded to the U.S embassy move by unitedly condemning it, immediately calling in U.S ambassadors across the region and demanding the U.S backdown and threatening to immediately break ties with the U.S, oh my mistake they have spent billions more on U.S weapons and bent over even more so the U.S/Israel can screw them

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has once again reiterated country's firm position on the Palestinian issue, calling the recent hesitation within Arab League states "a mistake," Anadolu Agency reported, citing his statement.

Speaking at the Forum for Arab Journalists in Istanbul, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has once again lambasted the controversial US decision to move its embassy in Israel to the disputed city of Jerusalem.

"This decision of the US is wrong," Cavusoglu stated as quoted by Anadolu. "We need to take a common stance against this wrong decision. We are seeing some hesitancy within the Arab League recently, which is a mistake."

It brings me no pleasure calling the arabs Pathetic, but its stating the obvious a fact of reality

If the arabs 20 states or whatever stood up and said to the U.S your decision is unacceptable
You CAN move your embassy to Jerusalem but we the arab nation in response will completely break down our relationship with the U.S for conducting this unacceptable move
The U.S thus has a choice destroy its relations with 20 states for the benefit of the jews or not do dum things

As it is the U.S knows the Arabs are WORTHLESS!!!!!
Remember this is not me calling arabs worthless but the U.S and israel they know that they can humiliate arabs and the Arabs will do fcuk all.

Before the arab league bangs its chest to chastise the Turkish FM, I believe the Turkish FM was simply trying to point out this fact to the much respected and adored Arab league
