Any Possibility Pakistan getting F-35 jets after 2020?

Without F-35 jets it won’t be easy to maintain a strong air defence capability after 2020, If F-35 available for sale can Pakistan afford it, it will be good if Pakistan can get F-35 jets.

After 2020 JF-17 & F-16 (Block 52) won’t be helpful to maintain a strong air defence capability.

Why not look at the J-XX instead? Future blocks of the J-10B and the evolution of the J-XX give us plenty to look forward to.

well F-35 is awesome aircraft...!! I personaly like this aircraft..!

And about pak getting it, well may be they can get it after 2020 who knows? There is still differnence of a decade..! And a lot can be change within a decade from economy to relation with other country...!

exactly... who knows if our economy may have been doubled by then as the economy is always bound to increase

and who knows if by that time we can afford to buy some squadrons and last but not least, India will force us to go for fifth generation Aircrafts as soon as she starts inducting her fleet so definitely we will move to 5th Generation soon... be it Chinese or Americans... doesn't matter for me

Indus Vipers are the last American jets in PAF service in my opinion - we should move towards self reliance - JXX would be my choice.

US policy is that unless it develops a tactical advantage of 10-15 years it will not sell a particular plane.


So for us to get F35 , us will have to have developed a system advance then it , and and only after 10 years have past that such a system be sold to any friendly nation.

This plane is still not filled requirements of US airforce , so they are not going to sell it to us because other rich nations are already in line to get
300-400 systems

So if they get their supplies some where in 2018 , we will not even get to see even consideration for 1 such plane untill 2025, when all other nations of world are equiped with at least 80 F35 each


The reason we were given the F16's in 80's was because Russia was trying to occupy Afghanistan and be with in striking distance of oil reserves in Middle east - US did not wanted Russia to have control of all the world oil sources so they armed us by F16 frist and also armed other nations like Turkey and israel with F16 to counter any movement of russians towards the oil reserves.

If it was not for Russian adventures in Afghanistan we would not have recieved any new planes and we would have been flying the freedom fighter planes form 70's like all nations
