A 49 year old medical shop owner cum social activist, who wrote a book on why cow slaughter should be banned, was badly beaten up by a mob outside a government school in Chandra layout, West Bangalore on Wednesday noon.

Mob also attacked his friend and car driver and all the three has been shifted to Colombia Asia hospital in Yeshwanthapur and their condition is normal, police said.

Victims are Mahendra Munnot, who owns 'Maruti Medicals' in Vijayanagar, his friend Rajesh Rai and car driver Upendra. The incident took place around 12 noon when Mahendra and others were distributing books to school children on why cow slaughter should be stoped. The book is written by Mahendra himself.

:big_boss: Not that I like to see cows dying, but these kinds of educational lessons are similar to the beatings that Ataturk's anti- religious police gave to Islamic fundamentalists to make Turkey secular.

This is ridiculous political correctness on display!

They could have at least mentioned in good old ToI style - 'Members of a community beat up anti cow slaughter activist'

:what:
By that logic the assailants should be beaten up and hanged! Beating Vegan/Veggie/animal rights activists is not a Kemalist thing :D

Good to see you admire the turks.

Which is why Godhra Riots was so important to put an end to islamic fundamentalists in India. It is an educational lesson the muslims in India will not forget very easily. Glad we agree on something. :coffee:

Wow all this fight over cows. RIP South Asia.

Time to start educating the muslims in India in a language they understand. Bangalore is as good a place to start this education as any.

After all you need to talk in Chinese to people from China. Always talk in the language they understand. :coffee:

Kemal's MIT was very brutal on anyone that preached political islam. This is not some Vegan issue. This issue is similar to the veil issue that they crushed down on- religious symbolism was very brutally cracked down upon by them.

I think you mean the Gujarat riots. Godhra was the place where only Hindu women and children were burnt alive.

Btw - are you the Lord?

That was a veil. I am all for banning wearing veils in public.

But in between life and death - I will chose life. For me and for as many other fellow living beings as possible.

Nope, actually @Guynextdoor2 is very balanced than most members in this forum.
:omghaha:
