What's new

Another group of Afghan military personnel given refuge by Army: ISPR

I will anyway advocate dealing with them with humanity. All I am looking for is a single Afghan soldier who has a soft corner for Pakistan and her people. That single guy will be our asset. So that's how I would deal with my enemy.

Fair enough, that's a nice approach to have too.

You will be chasing for fool's gold. Only ones that have soft spot for Pakistan are the ones that are married to Pakistanis. And even then, its marginal LOL
Don't use nationalism as your excuse. We don't want Afghans in Pakistan not because we are racist or nationalistic. We don't want them here because Afghans are people who eat and shit at the same place. They claim our land and scold our people. Don't act like a little toddler. Allah and his final prophet PBUH dealt with his enemies accordingly. They used to read namaz behind the prophet PBUH and used to shake hands pretending they were friends.

Bro it is honestly shocking that people forgot the Saudi Arabia incident against the dude from Swat. That facebook page "Pashtunpoint" had scores of Afghans cheering on the beating and gloating about "how to treat Gul Khanan". I swear to God, is it only just us that have to bear the brunt of this sh*t? Rest of Pakistan seems completely oblivious.

We gave them multiple chances, over 4 decades. Some of our own are married and have kids with them. Yet, still they cannot evolve pass the 18th century. Afghanan da Nammak Haram dai.

I know my rooster doesn't love me, he loves my hen, but he keeps cats away from my hen, and I keep my hen under control to control my rooster.
So, my dear, the small soft corner is enough for me. The knife is always ready for the ones crossing their limits. 100% protection of each and every person on the soil of Pakistan, whether Pakistani or no-Pakistani will be my approach. I really want to reduce bloodshed in the region to its minimum.

Kia karain bhai phir... Aik insan madad k liay awaz dy tu Kia merny dain? Afghans are anti Pakistan, but they are humans too. And we respect that.

Oh please. I am Pashtun and I am telling you to open your ears. They aren't our friends,

Did you even hear about the Saudi Arabia incident? That PashtunPoint facebook page was full of comments celebrating and cheering on gloating about how we should treat "Gul Khans".

Thanda hoja bhai. Sukoon k sath.
You know what, you make mistake when you take your enemy emotionless. So all we have to do is to take note of their emotions and channelize them away from us. That's a simple task but needs a decision.

Pakistan Army made the right call.

Why should Pakistani soldiers kill these men on the basis of 'perceptions' when they approached Pakistani troops in good faith for temporary refuge? This is problematic line-of-thought.

Some ANDSF elements sought refuge in Tajikistan and Tajik forces accomodated them much like Pakistan.

These men are under observation and will be returned in appropriate manner. Pakistani response in this matter is in line with response of other countries and international norms in similar context.

Nobody is hugging these men on our side but they are human beings and should be treated as such. WE must not abuse our power when WE have the opportunity to be merciful.

Pakistan Army is a professional organization and force; not a militia and should not behave like one.

Decisions such as these are to be made in localized context (i.e. situation on the ground), and not on the basis of broader narratives debated in forums.

Pakistan army did the honorable and professional thing. These Afghan soldiers were running for their lives. You don't shoot at people asking for your protection. I can't understand how people are equating this situation with miscreants outside London high commission or other places.

. . .
Through kindness, we shall kill them.

People need to understand. We are human. They are human. Above all we are Muslims. We should always give aid to another Muslim even if they have done bad things in the past. There is always that possibility they will see the folly of their ways and come back to the good side of things 🙂

ISPR has shared a screenshot of Afghan soldier who is being handed back to Afghan authorities. It seems like ISPR did make a video and might release it when necessary.

If i may ask what authority does the army have to give refuge to army personal of another country and that too known to be hostile? This is a decision that should be taken by the government of Pakistan and whatever Parliament that we have. Yes?

LOL notice how Indian and Western media is almost mum on this specific news.
