The wing and some other parts of an allegedly shot down Pakistani fighter jet are on a prominent display at the Indian Air Force museum at Palm air force station in Delhi.
There's nothing wrong with displaying a war trophy. We can all see it's a straight wing of an aircraft. Would someone like to explain, be it 1965 or 1971, which PAF straight winged aircraft in silver finish did India ever shot down.

Just imagine how every day hundred of these Indians go there taking pictures and feeling proud at once again being made a complete fool by their so called warriors.

Those are definitely the wings of a L-19 Bird Dog.
Two L-19s of Pakistan Army were shot down in 1971 & one more in 66-67.

You mean this one... No flag on wing and not that roundel even....

Bad paint job indeed, as seems currently in following picture.... the roundel, flag even the crescent ....

.
Pakistani would never paint such a sad looking crescent on anything.

Always full of bull shit, the Birddogs in PA were in olive green besides their wings don't have those slats.
More likely this wing belongs to the Kiran trainer.
It is clear from the condition of the wings that they were badly damaged and had to be repaired back and repainted.
Also Kiran wings have leading slant edges.

Anyways the wings on display look identical to a bird dog wing:

Also in addition to the 3 Pakistan army L-19 shot down, a Lahore flying Club L-19 was also shot down in 1967.

This is a military custom in India. Flags are inverted on whatever captured be it tanks or lighter weapons.

Other Examples
