Yes I do think they are educated in Islamic economics. They have shown to be practical negotiators too.I don't remember if Dostum was trained in the USSR but Dostum was primarily, and to later regret, supported by Najibullah. And as I linked you to the qz.com article, Najibullah was betrayed by Dostum. So whatever ideological correctness that Dostum had in his earlier years, in the 1990s he became an opportunist.
Why should Pakistan have felt threatened ? Unless its leader was sympathetic to the ideology that the Westerners and the "Mujahideen" espoused ? We know about General Zia, yes ?
Also, not all Pakistanis were opposed to the government of Najibullah. For example, have you read Fatima Bhutto's book Songs of Blood and Sword ? In it she speaks of her father and uncle taking refuge with Najibullah.
Communism may have originated in the West but it found its most acceptance and implementation in the East and the Global South.
Not imposing but trying to reason through debate. After all that is the purpose of a forum.
And you think the Taliban are educated, sensible and worldy-wise enough to implement Islamic economics ?
And please read the last part of post# 12 where I quote an extract from Nadeem Paracha's article which speaks of how Islamic scholars in undivided India found commonality between Islam and Communism.
Bahane na bna bai. Saari logic teri nangi ho ke samne a gai hai lmaoMy point was this : When leftist thought governed Afghanistan the Western governments funded, trained and facilitated regressive Afghans and foreigners to destabilize the country. Will those same Western governments allow socialist or communist SPA to become the government even if the SPA had even one percent chance ? The West would prefer leaving the country with either with the current government in power or with the Taliban in power or some tie-up between the two.
Also, if you go through the SPA's website the movement seems against the USSR's incursion into Afghanistan.
Where did you see high heels ?
I too don't want anyone to impose modern Western "democracy" upon any country. But we must recognize two things :
1. Afghanistan, just like India and Pakistan, has some regressive mentality in the culture which must be countered by progressive and curing movements from among the locals.
2. Muslims and Communism need not be alienated to each other. From my thread from 2016 which is an article by the Pakistani journalist Nadeem Paracha :
Americans and NATO really allowed the arts to flourish in Afghanistan. Unlike the Draconian AT
Play of words
… you have settled the conclusion while you “admire” Him(S.A.W.) you don’t really want to follow him completely. He(S.A.W.) is just one of many for you.
If two ideas are in conflict you will prefer and choose your communism’s teaching or Elon Musk or whatever.
Yes he was, a factory boss in Uzbekistan before he was drafted in to support the war effort.
Dostum began working in 1970 in a state-owned gas refinery in Sheberghan, participating in union politics, as the new government started to arm the staff of the workers in the oil and gas refineries.
And as a good communist (read opportunist) he kept Najib safe till he ran out of money to pay and the funds promised by India to Najib didn't materialise (surprise, surprise).
Because soviet Union was aligned with India. And they wanted to implement their anti-islam system on an Islamic society.
By the way the mujahiden ideology has nothing to do with western ideologies. Learn to differentiate between ideological allies and alliances based on common enemy.
Actually I still have that book.
So what did her father and uncle do while in Kabul, create a terrorist organisation called al-zulfiqar.
And on his return got murdered by his brother-in-law during the government of his own sister (the progressive/socialist , western educated) Benzir Bhutto (read Zardari)
It's easier to foul and suppress the poor of the global south then rich north-west. (No shit Sherlock).
I welcome it bring it on.
Yes a lot of them are educated and know a ton more about Afghanistan's history, politics, economics and geography
If you at look a molecular level you will find a lot of similarities between the earth and Mars too. Just remember one is our blue/green home, the other a red hellhole.
Yes I do think they are educated in Islamic economics.
They have shown to be practical negotiators too.
Bahane na bna bai. Saari logic teri nangi ho ke samne a gai hai lmao
Was he a factory boss in Uzbek SSR or a union leader in Afghanistan itself ? Wikipedia has this :
He was a plain opportunist, with or without Communist ideology.
Because Soviet Union was an abomination destined to fail, and India is a Hindu majoritarian state (obsessed with the subjugation of Muslims).1. Why couldn't India, the Soviet Union and Pakistan have been just allies instead of enemies ? Imagine if in Pakistan after the attempted leftist coup of 1951, Faiz Ahmed Faiz and his comrades would have successfully established Pakistan as a Socialist society, would then Pakistan have been a Western conduit later in the 1980s Afghan conflict ?
2. Like I presented earlier Islam and Communism need not cancel each other out. We can think of modern Communism to be an evolution of prior progressive ideas including Islam. And traditional Communism will also need to evolve ( please read post# 25 ).
I didn't really find the "Mujahideen" to be great opponents of Capitalism.
More immediately they wanted to achieve the overthrow the Pakistani government of General Zia to avenge the execution of their father but also wanted to replace it with a Leftist system. It was the trendy thing in those days to do all this using violent means.
How was Benazir a proper socialist ?
No, I think the East and Global South truly had enough of the impositions by the Capitalist and imperialist West, and also their internal social and political backwardness.
I have been debating since my membership began in 2014. Am I not already doing it with you ?
The Taliban may be "educated" in college degree sense but are they sensible ? Their history says otherwise.
But isn't the human race not producing the technologies and the understandings to go live on Mars ? Ideas evolve.
Again why don't you enlighten us.So when the Taliban ruled Afghanistan from 1996 to 2001 did they turn the country into an ideal Islamic socio-economic welfare state ? Or were they obsessed with other matters ?
That I agree. From allying with former communist turncoats to becoming the darlings of Western governments to selling opium to CIA they have indeed negotiated practically. And now they may well negotiate with the current Afghan government and become a major part of the government.
Communism was and is a failed idea, no wonder it's nearly destroyed the mighty Russian empire, (which is saved only thanks to Putin's tireless efforts)
Let me know when you reach Mars along with your latest Devta Elon Musk.
Starship stacking produces world’s tallest rocket
Earlier this month, SpaceX briefly stacked its latest Starship prototype on top of a Super Heavy rocket booster. The exercise gave us a glimpse of the scale of what’s now being called the world’s tallest rocket, taller than the giant Saturn V rockets that propelled the Apollo astronauts to the moon in the late 1960s and early ’70s. Engineers performed the stacking test on August 6, 2021, at the private company’s Starbase facility in South Texas.
Elon Musk – SpaceX founder and CEO – said on Twitter it was his “dream come true” to see the vehicle stacked for launch. And the process – and fully stacked rockets – are impressive, as you can see in the video above.
The Starship stacked on August 6 was SpaceX’s SN20 (Serial Number 20) prototype. By itself, it measures around 160 feet (49 m) tall. The Super Heavy booster to which Starship was secured – known as Booster 4 – by itself stands at 230 feet (70 m) tall. Together, they soar a towering 390 feet (120 m) into the sky. For comparison, NASA’s Saturn V rocket stood 363 feet (111 m) tall. And if the launch stand is taken into account, the number grows to about 475 feet (145 m) high, taller than a 40-story building. Do you feel small yet?
...then the next idea for SpaceX is to send an uncrewed Starship to do a flyby round of Mars in 2024 and do a crewed flyby round of Mars in 2026 and then actually land on Mars in perhaps four years thence. Don't ignore the coming future.SpaceX calls Starship a two-stage “fully reusable transportation system designed to carry both crew and cargo to Earth orbit, the moon, Mars and beyond.”
Again why don't you enlighten us.
There is no current Afghan government, unless if you consider the mayor of Kabul to represent the whole of Afghanistan..
They have just defeated the sole superpower
Because Soviet Union was an abomination destined to fail, and India is a Hindu majoritarian state (obsessed with the subjugation of Muslims).
Pakistan purpose is to protect its population from ever falling under the Hindu yoke.
