China is the second biggest trading parter for Israel. It risked relations with the US with technological transfers China and most recently, they joined AIIB despite US opposition. As the Chinese MOD said, Israel and Iran are the only reliable allies for China in the Middle East since they don't come with strings attached. The problem with GCC countries is that, they actively engage in brainwashing muslims in other countries who eventually become a ticking time bomb. What's going on in Xinjiang is a good warning shot for China. Ordinary Arabs could care less even if China helped them a lot because Chinese will always for non-muslims for them. Besides, Israel is the only advanced economy in the whole of Middle East.

Chinese have no issues with either Israelis or Iranians. Persia is closer and historically friendly, and sits right on the cross-road of the trade routes. None of the CPC Politburo members are Jewish. They are all of ethnic Chinese descent.

It's true!!! Chinese business leaders and big boy politicians all have ties with Jewish business leaders and politicians. When there are no conflict of interests, these Chinese business leaders and politicians will lobby for the interests of their Jewish friends, which explains why China has allowed/facilitated these various pro-Israel groups inside China. The Jews has an advantage in that they share a similar trait with Chinese people: work that $$$, and forget about other issues like religion, etc. If there were a survey asking China about its perceptions of Israel and Arab/Muslim countries, Israel would probably be rated higher.

Truly eye opening statement and 100% true. The Soviet Union supported Arabs in their wars against Israel and in return they got Arabs supporting Chechen terrorists and burning Russian flags. This is why China should not form any alliance or help the Arabs.
