Most of his wars were against other Muslim kingdom most of his victims were Muslim even mosques weren't spared in several of his campaign Muslim were mass murdered raped and enslaved during his campaign if he was Islam lover them so was yazid he was just a tyrant who wanted power and land who happened to born in Muslim house but islam didn't affect him much

.
What a blatant lie, he was a brutal invader who uprooted Islam in many places.

Asalamu Alaikum

He was brutal, but he had a clear passion for Islam and never uprooted it, in fact, he helped ensure Islam remained the dominant power in the sub-continent by replacing the failing Tughlaq dynasty with a more competent and more Islamic successor.

He never raped Muslims, but yes he did kill other Muslims, however, this was not always the case. For example, during his campaigns in the sub-continent he differentiated between Muslims and non-Muslims that he encountered (non-Muslims were looted and killed, Muslims were told to either join him or let him pass, except for the Tughlaqs, they had the same fate as the non-Muslims).

He also planned an invasion of China, but he fell ill and died before his conquest could be attempted.

No, in his campaign across the sub-continent it's pretty clear he spared Muslims who did not oppose him. Sikander Shah Mir (the Sultan of Kashmir) even had amicable relations with him.

Those people who took refuge inside the Masjid were not Muslim, as per what I've read.

*NOTE: I'm not trying to justify genocide, I'm just saying you're exaggerating the events that took place.

Muslims all over the world should quit dwelling on their past. Stop daydreaming. Stop living the fantasies of the golden age.

And wake up to the reality of how when the 30 minute Friday khutba is over everyone rushes back to lying, cheating, stealing and ribba eating. Just ask the 3 times bismillah folks(mostly found in western countries). Who do anything they please whether its zinah, fornication, adultery, alcohol, drugs or eating that non zabiha & haram big mac. But make sure to say bismillah 3x times before doing it as a pathetic reminder to themselves that they are still muslim.

He spared who didn't oppose him but killed their while families who did even of Muslims he even buried people alive in khursan sacked Damascus Aleppo and destroyed several other Muslim he attacked Sunni claiming shia rhetoric then attacked shia claiming sunni
He imprisoned the Ottoman king was allied with western empires against Ottoman
He also destroyed hospitalars crusader
He was enemy of who ever stood in his path of power and most of em were Muslim and didn't dealt with those Muslim brothers per Islamic law
He dreamed of reenacting gangis Khan empire
Like politician of today he just used Islam name for his own personal goals .
I m more fan of Berke Khan grandson of Genghis Khan cousin of halgu khan who embraced Islam and challenged his cousin which stopped halgu khan further devastating Arab Muslim world along with his defeat by Egyptian but even Berke was no ideal Muslim ruler

.
1. He attacked anyone, made no distinction.
2. Had brutal methods (he was Mongol).
3. Was a military genius who never saw defeat.
4. He ruled vast tracts of land.

Plenty of other Muslim rulers did the above but were just not as efficient as he was. He wasn't a caliph that ended with the four chosen, after that it was kingships.

As for judgement, the Lord has his soul now, like all others who passed before.

Timur fought for himself and for his people, not for you or Islam. Why do modern Muslims always try to take ownership of their invaders?

If Pakistan existed and was in his way, he would have decimated Pakistan too. Would you have celebrated him then?

I think he's in the same league as any Afghan warlord who wants to invade Pakistan and build his own mosques.

And you say he killed 1/20th of the world's population as one of 2 negative points against all the good he did. 1/20th of the worlds population! That kind of relentless killing is not a small negative.

Bayburs, Saladin, Alp Arslan etc were much better in this regard.

Passion for Islam?? That's insane.

After Genghis Khan, Timur is the second biggest killer of Muslims in history. He built numerous human skull towers with the head of the Muslims he had killed.
