I read that Amir Khan is the WBA Light-Welterweight Champion. Didn't Manny Pacquiao fight Ricky Hatton in the same category? I'd love to see Amir Khan vs Manny Pacquiao someday.

That would be a pretty short fight... A better question is when the Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight happens (please god please) whose going to win.

My money would by on Mayweather, I honestly think Pacquiao is afraid.

Maidana has nasty punch, but I think Amir Khan's quick feet will do the trick for him.

Me and my Dad were talking about Manny vs Amir yesterday actually. But my Dad said he think Manny is too short for Amir...but Amir is not really tall either, he is only like 5'11

Antonio Margarito is 5'11 and that didn't stop Manny last Saturday.

Manny and Floyd are in a league of their own right now, and that's why they HAVE to have a fight. They just have to.

Really? Its Pacquiao who's afraid!! Where have you been living?

Manny has been itching for this fight for the last 2 years. It's been Mayweather who's been afraid, making one excuse after the other. First, it was the drug/urine tests. Then, money. Now, his legal battles. If it were up to Floyd, the fight would happen in his living room with his father as the ref.

I guess Floyd is waiting for Manny to get old, because that's all who he defeats, old boxers who are past their prime. :D

You know what, after last weekend, Manny does not need to fight Mayweather anymore. Pacquiao has nothing to gain from beating Floyd now. Pacquiao is a legend while Mayweather has lost his legacy.

It would be better for boxing if Pacquiao fights young upcoming boxers like Amir Khan.

Manny could have agreed to the drug tests. The reason he refused is pretty BS. (something about drawing blood would throw off his chi or something)

Floyd is a year older than Manny

That's what a lot of pro-pacquiao commentators are trying to tell people, but I don't buy it.

My boxing coach, (former pro-fighter), thinks and I agree that Floyd is just miles ahead of everyone. He also thinks Marquez has/had a better chance of beating Floyd and if he couldn't do it Manny wouldn't stand a chance.

How can you argue with this.

Hatton was a bum but still, that check hook was beautiful.

They eventually agreed on that drug test thingy. But as a boxer, you'd know that if someone wanted to draw blood from you just before a fight, that would affect your in ring performance.

Floyd camp is incredibly sharp (with de la Hoya and Don King involved) and wants to draw maximum mileage out of this bout. I think they might have overplayed their hand.

My point was that Floyd only beats fighters who are past their prime.

Don't get me wrong, I think Floyd is great defensively and has a good chin, but he hasn't fought anyone with Manny's punch and accuracy before. Against Margarito, Manny threw more than 700 punches and landed more than 50% of them!!!

Anyways, I think that with Floyd involved in all his legal troubles, and Manny having a constituency to represent, this fight won't happen anytime soon.

I agree sadly about the fight's prospects but I disagree on your assessment of the Margarito fight and Floyd's chin.

Floyd doesn't have a good chin he has a good defense, you'll rarely hit Floyd with a flush shot. What happened in the Margarito fight was that Margarito stayed out there long long after he lost the fight. He was standing target for half of the fight, so no wonder Manny landed at will.
