wait and see. I think however this would be contingent on the security plan for the F-16 holding.

That's why Pakistan would be accepting the F-16. It is suddenly clear. The idea of FC-10 and F-16 not operating from the same base is ludricous, as under the security plan, or technicians not talking to each other. The only way for both planes to operate in Pakistan properly would be for Pakistan to make the planes and for Americans to outfit it to your hearts content, perhaps APG-68, GE engines and of course AMRAAMs and Sidewinders, so that there need not be additional security measures as both will have American avionics. In this way, there need not be problems of integration or security at all.

The good thing is that there will definitely be transfer of technology giving the local aviation industry a huge boost.

It says a lot about what Pakistani think about other countries avionics and engines though. This is the reason Pakistan is accepting the F-16 with security measures.

Hoho, wait and see my friend. Are you saying you won't like APG 68, GE engines and ability to fire AMRAAMs?

. .
US cancelled the FC-1 deal with China long time ago, US dosnt wants China to to get its hand on Pakistani F-16's, why the hell they will give China their techonology?

.
FC-1 is the JF-17. If Pakistan can make the frame, cooperation with the West can give it exceptional ability for its size and thrust.

.
The west might. The US won't.

Why do you think for the JF-17 Pakistan went to the Italians, the French, the Swedish.

China might not even want western avionics and award the contracts to its own companies. Pak might use a different version... But the Americans and the Chinese are not going to mix any time soon. Not even through Pakistan.

Americans don't want Amraams being handled by the Chinese. We want them fitted on the J-10s. The Chinese won't allow us for the Americans to work on the J-10s. If any ingenious incorporation has to occur, Pakistanis have to do it themselves under the joint auspices of the Chinese and the Americans perhaps.

Difficult, but not impossible.

.
Unless China would give the J-10 to be ready in 5 years time, the one with more streamlined structure, lighter engine, advanced air to ground capabilities, low observability features and more advanced manufacturing techniques, I don't see why Pakistan would want the J-10 now. That new J-10 would be much closer to the Rafale and Eurotyphoon and worth a punt. I would rather trust the battlehardened F-16 than a secretive plane no one absolutely knows anything about and whose claims to glory are whispers that it beat the SU-27 MKK in air combat 6 times (not even 6 flights, just 6 times LOLOL).

For example, the colonel in charge of F-35 programme in Europe stated categorically - the F-16 Blk 50/2+ is better avonically than the Eurofigther Tranche 1 and overall is a BETTER plane. You'll be surprised.

In any case, it is best Pakistan pilots train with NATO. This is the elite of the elite along with the Israelis. If you want to maintain your skill edge you must fight in Red Flag, Anatolia Eagle, even the Middle East-West exercises. Somehow I don't see your J-10 pilots heading there.

Let me say this categorically, no air force or army or navy in the world will ever get to tip top status without training with NATO. The implications you can understand yourself.

Welcome to the advanced F-16 club btw.
