LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain on Thursday said that he would support Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in his bid to tackle the deteriorating law and order situation in Karachi, Express News reported.
In his press statement, the MQM chief appreciated the federal delegation that visited the city to meet various stakeholders and find a solution to the citys problems.
The lawful measures taken by the cabinet for the welfare of the city will be accepted by me and all the citizens of the city, he said.
In order to maintain peace in the city, Altaf said action should be taken against all the suspects regardless of their political affiliation.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif arrived in Karachi on September 3 to meet all the stakeholders and evolve consensus on how to curb violence in the countrys economic hub.
