Alleged details of the letter issue

bhai dekho ... IK instead of being diplomatic he straight away took the hard way of choosing sides and went with Russia and China

I personally am myself double minded over this, on one side i am glad that someone had balls to finally do this and on the other hand i think we should not totally screw our relations with west like this

but rest assured, if you stop playing by uncle sam's book they will do anything and everything in their dirty book to get back to you so this was expected
Base was Afghanistan and target was pakistan.

You worry too much. Live your life.

Just a little correction. It has been confirmed by multiple ministers including SMQ that the letter is an official communique by another government to the FO, and not an analysis or feedback from current or retired ambassadors or embassy officials.
So another government (read USA) hand over a list of demands to Pak FO? Do this or we bring regime change?

Establishment always tends to do "dikhao saji, maro khabi". Key example is secret support of IEA when Americans began inviting Indians into Afghanistan. Only time will tell what has/will happen.
You know the problems with our politicians .. they play politics with strategic posture as well.. at all times they try to show themselves as hero’s.. as in the case of IK.. he could have refused American demands behind closed doors and kept relations cordial.. but he intentionally decided to do a road show on it.. just to prove himself and cover for economic failures..I can’t support IK idiotic statements since the beginning.. few examples
1) going to Iran a few years back and inadvertently admitting that we support groups in Sistan
2) saying US under trump was pressuring him to recognise Israel. LMAO-wish people knew how real terms between Pak and Tel Aviv are.
3) on Taliban takeover of Kabul saying “chains of slavery have been broken” now same Taliban host the TTP
4) the time he called OBL a shaheed in NA, what bloody nonsense,
4) pissing off Chinese by questioning past corruption in CPEC, than later requesting for more CPEC investment
5) also idiotic visit to Moscow, Putin made fool out of IK, no way Russia would invite Modi on a date and invade on that same date.

The guy, like all our politicians is an idiot. But he is an honest idiot. But honestly doesn’t cover for stupidity.

Pakistan doesn’t want to become satellite state of China, and wants to maintain cordial relations with West, but IK hell bent on pushing to make Pakistan’s only option China and Russia. Than when they **** you over on unfavourable terms on projects and dictate your foreign policy don’t cry. Please see current trade balance between Pakistan and those countries that we are criticising, is China going to buy all our exports? Why haven’t we gotten favourable market access yet? Even though our imports from China keep increasing.

IK wants to portray himself as a martyr, nobody puts that much efforts to remove idiots with warning letter, they just remove Pakistan GSP status and make IMF conditions so stringent that people beg leadership change.

These bloody politicians will leave country in ruins if there is no check and balance. Bloody bastards. Monarchy much better than this stupid democracy, atleast Monarch worry about leaving a good country for their children to rule.

When your a country like Pakistan at such a dire state. You need to be wise! And think about the people not your bloody ego!

Take example of Saddam and King Hussein, former lots of oil but no brains, latter no oil but brains. Today and as during Saddam era, Iraq ruined economically and people are miserable just read on Iraq during 90’s, Jordan still stable and relatively prosperous.

You can't make omelettes without breaking eggs

Yeah I'm going to wait for the so called letter, US expressing 'displeasure' over Pak's decision and showing it, does not mean they want regime change which he is alluding to. This is just IK overblowing the issue to gather populist support and instead of showing evidence he's just teasing it. Plus if this is true he is also subtly accusing the army of not following Pak's foreign policy which is crude to say the least.
How do you interpret the phrase that relations cant be repaired under the existing Pakistani government?

I can't because i do not know the context of it. If this really is from a diplomatic cable it is from a Pakistani official not a US official, what it is in relation to i have no clue. For all i know it could very well be quoting US officials or even Pak officials giving their own analysis on the current trajectory of Pak-US ties. There is so little information given and that too is under doubt considering they keep going from lie after lie. From droning about regime change from a US official, we now get a diplomatic cable from a Pak official which purportedly does not explicitly even mention it. Nor do they mention the context of any of this as to who exactly what the purpose if this 'letter' is.

Letter story improbable: ex-envoy

Imran Khan is building a global conspiracy narrative for the next election, says Abdul Basit

KARACHI: Former ambassador Abdul Basit said on Wednesday Prime Minister Imran Khan is building a global conspiracy narrative for the next election.

Speaking in Geo News programme Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Saath, he said the PM had blundered by disclosing an ambassador’s letter which is secret.

He said host countries do summon diplomats on matters of policy, but he is not aware of any incident when a state official tells an ambassador the no-trust motion should succeed and the prime minister should go, otherwise maintaining bilateral contacts would be difficult.

The foreign policy matters are sensitive and should not be discussed in public”, he asserted. The letter PM Imran Khan brandished contained the minutes of a meeting between our ambassador and an official of the State Department, he said.

It was possible our ambassador had put his analysis of the meeting in the last paragraph of the letter, he observed. What did we gain from the tour of Russia, he questioned.

Bajwa has already accepted it ... just recall the statement "Bury the past"
[Links 1, 2, 3, 4]
That was the most shameless words any army chief or any country could have said ever.
I understand wanting peace but “bury the past” is disregarding the sacrifices of the tens of thousands of shaheed who gave their blood to the motherland while fighting Indians. Go to any family with a shaheed in their family they’ll send lanat on bajwa for saying such a thing. You can never bury the past or forget the past especially when the past contains so many sacrifices. We can make peace if india wants peace and is ready to respect the rights of Kashmiris however we still never will forget the past or bury the past even if india has our puppet government.

US needs a Nawaz Sharif like person on the seat who adheres to the dictation of the US and bows in front of India. Currently India is the top most pawn in the region for the US chessboard pieces. India should be strong enough to contain and engage China and US wants to neutralize all other distractions for the Indian Govt. So Pakistan would have friendly relations and trade relations with India then regardless of situation on borders and Kashmir issue.

Due to IK's firm stance and China's growing influence, US is rapidly becoming irrelevant in mainland Asia from the Baltics to the Arabian Sea and to the Red Sea. They desperately need to bounce back in the region and Pakistan could be their easiest way to get back into the business as usual. Because Pakistan had provided them that crucial passage in past decades too. If China succeeds in pulling off some deals it's currently negotiating, the US would loose it's only tool of influence left in shape of sanctions, embargoes and US Dollar global domination. Russia, China and other regional players combined have the potential to turn the tables on US now if it doesn't stop bullying everyone else immediately. The cold war is getting into it's turbo phase quite quickly because US can't afford to wait and China can just sit back for decades and watch US loosing the game.

So evidently as a country situated on the crossroads of great world powers we are caught in the cross fire between the two giants, and would have to endure it

1. USA is nowhere close to being irrelevant in the Baltics and Arabian Sea. Russia has failed to topple Zelenskyy administration in Ukraine and more countries are willing to join NATO now. Russian economic situation will also worsen in time.

2. Both India and Iran play their own games in our region.

3. China have global investments and trade relations. They will support Pakistan but they have their limits.

China knew about Russian plan to invade Ukraine and then what happened? Russia is bogged down in fighting and in trouble, not China.

Let the dust settle and see what happens. WE should not miscalculate our options like Russia.

Just listen to last 7,8 minutes. Spot on 👍. When we have domestic kingmakers, we don't need external ones to do that dirty job instead.
