LAHORE (Dunya News) – Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General (DG) Major General Asif Ghafoor Bajwa has asserted on Monday that allegations of terror attacks by Haqqani network in Pakistan are baseless.
ISPR DG conversed with anchorperson Kamran Shahid in an exclusive interview that aired tonight on Dunya News.
He said that institutions of Pakistan are fighting extremism and terrorism and stability is important for Pakistan. Allegations of attacks carried out by Haqqani network are false, he added.
Major General Bajwa said that democratic setup in Pakistan has no threat from the military and that the setup would continue without hiccups if positives of democracy are delivered to the people.
Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa believes in abiding by the constitutional limits and that he briefed the senators in the first ever in Pakistan’s history, DG Bajwa added.
He said that the Army Chief respects democratic setup.
While talking about forthcoming General Elections 2018, ISPR DG said that the military would act according to the instructions.
